The holiday apartments at Avon Farm are a new conversion which has been completed in the Spring of 2008. There are two adjoining self contained units. Each has a large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room with full cooking facilities. Upstairs is a bedroom and en suite bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed and a chair bed which is suitable for use by a young child. There are two sofa beds in the lounge downstairs. Outside there is a patio with garden furniture overlooking the shared garden. Avon Farm is situated just outside the main village which has a post office and general store. There is a choice of country inns within a 5 minute drive. There are lovely walks in the surrounding countryside and the beautiful New Forest is only 5 minutes drive, while the beaches on the South Coast can be reached in 30 minutes.

Changeover day
Preferred change-over day is Friday but other days may be possible on request. The property is available from 3 p.m. on the day or arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

Accommodation
Check availability Mole Hill (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)
The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room has 2 sofabeds and a dining table seating 4. There is a TV, DVD and CD/radio. The newly fitted kitchen has a built-in oven and ceramic hob, washing machine and fridge with freezer compartment. Upstairs the bedroom has a double bed and a folding chair bed suitable for a young child (a travel cot is also available for use in the bedroom if required). The ensuite bathroom has a bath with mixer tap and shower attachment (suitable for hair washing etc while seated in the bath but not suitable for use as a standing shower) wash hand basin and wc. Please note that the upstairs rooms have sloping ceilings and restricted head height in some areas.

Fox Hole is identical to Mole Hill except it does not have a washing machine.

 

Notes on accommodation
The property has electric wall panel radiators which can be turned on and off as required or programmed to be on at specific times. The bathroom can only be accessed from the bedroom therefore the unit although spacious is suited to use by couples or families but not recommended for four adults.

Accessibility
There is a step to enter the front door and the bathroom is upstairs therefore the property may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.

Outside
Outside there is a large shared patio and lawned garden area, each property has its own patio furniture. There is a childrens' climbing frame at the end of the garden and a washing line for use by all guests.

Coast/Beach
The sandy beaches at Bournemouth and along the South Coast can be reached by car in 30 minutes.

Travel
Fly to Bournemouth or Southampton Airports - Avon Farm is approximately 20 to 30 minutes drive from either airport.
By car we are 5 minutes from the main A338 road running from Ringwood to Salisbury.
Bournemouth Airport is 25 km and the Ferry terminal at Poole is 36 km.

Distances
Avon Farm is a few minutes drive from the village at Alderholt and 5 minutes from the traditional riverside town of Fordingbridge situated on the edge of the New Forest.

Booking notes
Guests wishing to make a reservation will be asked to complete a booking form and return it with a 30% deposit. The balance of the holiday cost will be payable 6 weeks before arrival.
