This studio apartment is a loft conversion in a listed Georgian Admiralty Warehouse. It is light, airy and spacious (26ft x 21ft) with large windows overlooking the river Thames. It is a perfect base for exploring London. We are in Zone 2, nearest underground station: Canada Water (Jubilee Line).

Bedrooms: As a studio, there is no separate bedroom, but the raised bed accessed by steps provides a separate sleeping area. There is a screen for the sofa bed if needed. Not recommended for more than 3 adults or 2 adults plus 2 children.
Bathrooms: Newly refurbished bathroom with thermostatically-controlled shower over bath, shower screen, hand-basin with cupboard under, and WC. Fully tiled with limestone floor.
Kitchen: Ceramic hob, multifunction electric oven under; integrated fridge with freezing compartment, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, dryer and
toaster.
Living Rooms: Sofa, easy chairs, dining table and chairs, study area with small library and books on London and Pepys (who worked here in 17C). TV, radio/CD.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are provided and bed(s) made up before arrival. Maintaining laundry and cleaning is responsibility of tenants. Materials provided.

 

Notes on accommodation
The flat is one of six in the end, separate wing of this historic building facing onto the river. Our flat is on the top floor with one other flat on the same landing.

Accessibility
The studio is on the second (top) floor and two flights of stairs (39 steps in all). So tenants have to be reasonably mobile.

Outside
Parking is free just below the building, and always available.
There is a bicycle in the spacious entrance hall for your use.

Travel
Underground is by Jubilee Line which gives speedy direct access to central London. The Thames Clipper River Bus service has a pontoon-stop just 300 yards from the studio.

Distances
Surrey Quays Shopping Centre and Tesco at 1.25 miles. Small Sainsbury's at 0.4 miles. Underground at 1.3 miles, served by regular 10 minute bus. Regular bus to Greenwich (1.5 miles).

We took a boat trip to the Thames Barrier and one to Westminster, and went on the Eye. A day on the DLRailway was also completed’ P.Berry
