This self-contained holiday chalet is set in the peaceful parkland setting of Penstowe Park Holiday Village and sleeps 4-5 people, in two bedrooms. There is a kitchen, lounge and bathroom with electric shower over bath. 27 the Park is fully equipped to a high standard and includes a microwave, TV, Freeview box and DVD player. A cot and a highchair are available free of charge. The beds are made up for your arrival (bedlinen is not provided for the cot). Electricity is provided via a coin meter which takes £1 coins.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Changeover day
Week holidays are from Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available if requested. Arrivals are from 4.00pm on the first day of your holiday and you must vacate the chalet by 10.00am on the day of departure, leaving it in a clean condition.

Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with bunk bed, the lower of which can convert from a sofa to a double bed and a single upper. All of which are made up for your arrival. A cot is also available but no linen is provided for it. |

Brand new fitted kitchen for 2007. Fully equipped and includes fridge, microwave, built-in electric cooker and hob, kettle and toaster. |

Bedding is included and the beds are made up for your arrival. A fresh set of bedding is provided for each week of your stay. A bath mat is also included. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival. We do not supply towels, dishcloths or tea towels. |
Notes on accommodation
Housed within Penstowe Manor is Penstowe Sports and Leisure Club. Membership to this club is available to guests staying at 27 the Park. The application forms are available from the Manor House upon arrival at Penstowe, and membership costs £50 per week for a family of four. Shorter periods can also be purchased at a reduced cost. Penstowe Sports and Leisure Club offers: 2 restaurants; cabaret suite with dance floor; 3 bars; live nightly entertainment; takeaway; children’s entertainment; children’s club and activities; tennis; squash; badminton; amusements; big screen Satellite TV; indoor swimming pool; 3 indoor bowls rinks; pool tables; jacuzzi and sauna. The stable block is free to all guests and offers a small shop, access to the two heated outdoor pools, amusements and the Stable Bar & Grill. It is usually open from May - October. Also on site is the launderette, with washing machines and tumble dryers operated on a coin meter basis.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is a National Trust beach at Sandymouth bay, approximately 3 miles away. Other nearby attractions include; the Tamar Lakes which have excellent water sports, angling and many stunning walks; the South West Coastal Path and the dramatic scenery of the Atlantic Heritage Coast. The area also offers Widemouth Bay, famous for its surfing and numerous theme parks and activities for families. The town of Bude with it's sandy beach is also close about 5 miles away.
Travel
The use of a car is essential, as public transport is limited in this area. Penstowe is easily accessible via the M5 from the North Devon Link Road (A361/A39) - or the A30 (Exeter and Okehampton bypass) and Holsworthy.
Distances
The village of Kilkhampton is about a ten minute walk from the park. Kilkhampton offers two pubs, a post office, 2 general stores, a pizza place and a fish and chip shop. On the outskirts (car needed) is also a Chinese. The nearest town is Bude, about 5 miles away. Other local sites to visit include Boscastle, Tintagel, Bideford, Newquay and the Eden Project, all within an hour's drive.

The Bude area offers its visitors a variety of holiday experiences from a relaxing short or weekend break to challenging activity holidays in natural surroundings, family holidays with nearby attractions and adventure parks, and opportunities for walking, cycling, golf and bird watching. The area also has some of the best surfing beaches in the UK.
