Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is reached via a fine conservatory entrance, ideal for inclement weather, off of which is the hall, marble dressed cloakroom, fine drawing room with coastal views, spacious dining room, bespoke kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, all on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin, the master bedroom having an en-suite shower room with twin vanity basins and wc dressed in granite and marble. There is also a luxury family bathroom, with large jacuzzi bath and a shower cubicle. On the lower ground floor are two more large twin bedrooms and a bathroom. Sony 28” Nicam TV, DVD and video player in lounge. TV in master bedroom. Selection of DVDs and videos. Use of an upright piano, regularly tuned and maintained by professional owner. Washing/drying room - 5kg tumble dryer.

Accessibility
On arrival to Hesketh Crescent, drive to the end of the drive and through the gates to Hesketh Dell. It is possible to park 2 cars in the grounds of the property, enabling easy access, up a stone step and through the conservatory entrance. The property has not been adapted for wheelchair use but guests with slight mobility problems may be okay. There is a cloakroom toilet on the ground floor but all bedrooms are on the 1st floor or on the lower ground floor.
Outside
Hesketh Dell is found at the end of Hesketh Crescent, set back behind large wrought iron gates, standing in its own secluded grounds of some two thirds of an acre. Situated directly above Meadfoot Beach, the gardens and house enjoy superb sea and coastal views looking towards Berry Head and Thatcher Rock. The sun terrace and secret gardens are a particular feature providing a colourful and ever-changing vista through the seasons. Inside, the house has been tastefully modernised, while retaining features, such as deep ornate freezes, cornicing and marble fireplaces. Great care has been taken to furnish the house tastefully and provide a high level of comfort - a wonderful retreat. The use of indoor swimming pool and the Osbourne health club facilities are available for a fee arranged and payed directly to them upon arrival. The outdoor tennis courts can also be hired bookings made directly with them.
Coast/Beach
Meadfoot Beach is just in front of the property. There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves and beaches and walks in Torbay, with a climate that belongs somewhere much further south. There are opportunities for surfing, safe swimming, diving, sailing, angling and wonderful opportunities to study the natural wildlife. Torquay is a place to relax, to soak up the atmosphere, to take in the scenery, the parks and the gardens and to enjoy the experience of a holiday in a classical seaside resort.

Skiing
Plymouth Ski and Snowboard Centre situated above the Plym valley near the A38, the centre is easy to get to from places in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The centre is open throughout the year and offers skiers and snowboarders of all levels the facilities to practice and learn new skills. With three slopes to choose from including the longest artificial slope in the South West, Plymouth Ski and Snowboard Centre is the perfect place to practice and learn new skills. On site we have an exhilarating 650 meter toboggan run and exciting Sno-tube rides. There is a fully stocked bar and restaurant on site. We are open 7 days a week throughout the year. Open from 10am - 10pm for slope activities, last tickets being sold at 8.30pm.

By air - The nearest airports are Exeter (22 miles) and Plymouth (38 miles) away.
By sea - Cherbourg , Santander, St. Malo and more places, see ferry crossings to and from Plymouth. A transfer by coach, bus, train or taxi will be necessary to reach the property.
By car - Torquay is 100 miles from Bristol, 184 miles from Birmingham and 217 miles from London.

The changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure. To make a secure booking, a 25% deposit is necessary. The remaining balance is then due 6 weeks before arrival.
