Mawgan Porth is close to Surfing Beaches, it's own and those in Newquay and Watergate Bay. Cornwall enjoys Britain's best climate with warm sunny springs and tropical like summers. Mild Autumn's make it an ideal venue for out of season breaks. There are also 300 miles of coastal paths maintained by the National Trust, available to walk all year round. The Farm is at the end of a private drive surrounded in 27 acres of beautiful countryside making it a tranquil and relaxing holiday and yet a fun seaside holiday with Mawgan Porth beach just a 10 minute walk. Golf and fishing adjacent to the farm. beautiful countryside and coastal walks direct from the farm. The bustling town of Newquay is 15 minutes drive and the old Cornish fishing town of Padstow a 15 minute drive where you will find Rick Steins famous seafood restaurant.

Prices are for the property in 2008 per week in UK pounds. Short breaks October - May, 3 nights Fri - Mon or 4 nights Mon - Fri, two thirds of the weekly rate.

The Barn (Sleeps up to 10)

The Barn is a spacious converted barn. The Main entrance is from the ground floor and leads to a large kitchen / diner, a twin bedroom with wash basin, family room with a double bed, and bunk beds, a shower room, toilet, and bathroom with toilet. The cloakroom with washing machine has a staircase leading up to a large impressive open beamed lounge and the Master bedroom with double bed, two single beds and wash basin. The Master bedroom has a fire exit door opening outside to stairs which lead down to ground level (emergency use only). The barn can accommodate 2 to 10 persons, we do not usually recommend any more than 6 adults (2 adults per bedroom) with the rest made up of children plus up to 2 babies in cots, we can provide cots and highchairs free of charge (max 2 of each). To the rear is a private outdoor dining area with Valley views. Electric Included. No smoking. Families and couples only.

The Stable (Sleeps 2)

A cosy retreat for two. It is an open plan studio cottage with small kitchen / diner, two seater sofa with TV and DVD player and a double bedded area sectioned by drapes. There is also a washroom with a shower and toilet. The Stable has its own outdoor dining area with Countryside views. The Stable is ideal for a couple wishing to seek a quiet and romantic Cornish Holiday. Electric included. No smoking. Couples Only. A cot and highchair can be provided at no extra cost.

Accessibility
The Barn has 2 ground floor bedrooms, with bath/shower/toilet and kitchen also on ground floor, this accommodation along with The Stable would be suitable for partially but not fully disabled guests.
Outside
Each property has its own outdoor area overlooking the Countryside with outdoor dining furniture. A gas BBQ and heater can be hired at extra charge.
Coast/Beach
10 minute walk to Mawgan Porth Beach. 5 minute drive to Watergate Bay, 10 minute drive to Porthcothan Beach, 10-15 minutes drive to Newquay Beaches.
Golf
Merlin Golf Course is located next door to Merlin Farm.
Travel
Newquay Airport 5 minutes drive.
Distances
10 minute walk to Mawgan Porth Coastal Village, where there is a pub, restaurant, beach shops, mini market, pitch and putt, etc.
Further details
Children can pet the animals on the Farm (under supervision), and help with feeding and collecting eggs (by arrangement)
Booking notes
Deposit 25%. Balance due by the very latest a calendar month prior to arrival.
Week bookings only May - September inclusive. Weeks or Short breaks offered October - May.
