Communications are outstanding, with frequent (about every 20 mins.) and fast (35 mins.) rail services to London Euston. Birmingham and Gatwick airports are reached directly by rail, in about one hour.
National bus services leave from Junction 14 of the M1, some 2 miles distant. They cover much of England. Buses also serve Luton, Stansted and Heathrow airports.
Distances
The centre of Milton Keynes, with its huge shopping malls, and the railway station, are a few minutes by car. There is ample parking in the centre of Milton Keynes and by the station, either free or with modest charges.

Further details
The 18th C. Woughton village pub, 'The Old Swan', has a great atmosphere. Low beams and a wood fire in winter. It is a short walk from the house across the Green. It has some good beer, a varied lunch and dinner menu of a good standard and reasonable price. Sunday lunch is great. In summer, there are tables outside on the large green area.
Woburn is about 10 minutes by car and has several good restaurants. Other villages nearby, such as Brickhill, Aspley Guise, Salford, Olney and Turvey also have restaurants or cafes that are worth visiting.
Milton Keynes is now a very attractive city that retains a suburban atmosphere due to the vast area of Trust Parklands that reach throughout the city. There are many restaurants to suit all tastes in the centre and a variety of entertainment venues. Getting to these by car and parking is a simple matter. Regular local public transport also serves Woughton.
Note: The owner's family have for rent a beautiful hilltop villa in Altea, on the Costa Blanca, Spain. (See Ref. S8492). It is located in 3 acres (12,000 sq.m.) and set above orange plantations, with magnificent sea and mountain views.
Also available is a really lovely villa, right on the beach in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. (See Ref. C 1491).
