This delightful cottage, set in its own garden, is located in the heart of the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park. The pretty village of Longnor is 2.5 miles away and has local shops, a Post Office and a good variety of pubs and restaurants, it also boasts one of the best fish and chip shops in the North of England. The famous spa town of Buxton is just 6 miles away and has supermarkets, an opera house, swimming baths and a host of other leisure activities. The area is rich in visitor attractions including Chatsworth and Haddon country houses, Blue John Mines or, for the young or young at heart, Alton Towers. The outdoor attractions are far too numerous to list them all, but include hundreds of miles of footpaths, leading to some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain, local pony trekking and even, for the really adventurous, gliding and paragliding at Great Hucklow. Christmas and New Year are available at £460 per week.
We would tailor arrival day to suit your plans, if possible.

Changeover day
Changeover on Saturday. 3.00pm. arrival 10.00am. departure.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All bedding, bath and kitchen towels are included in the price. The property is cleaned before each letting and, if you are staying for more than 1 week, you will be provided with additional bedding and towels. |
Notes on accommodation
The cottage is heated by night storage heaters with 2 multi-fuel stoves should they be required. Fuel for the stoves is included in the price. We regret that neither pets nor smoking are allowed in the cottage.
Accessibility
The cottage is not really suitable for people with physical disabilities, as the bedrooms and bathroom are all upstairs.
Outside
There is a good sized, enclosed garden with barbecue and outdoor furniture. There is a patio at the rear of the cottage and ample sitting area at the (west facing) front of the property, to enjoy those "sundowners" with a glorious view.
There is a detached garage containing the freezer and tumble dryer.
Golf
Buxton has 2 courses, there is 1 in Leek and there are several in the Macclesfield area, all of which are about 6 miles from the cottage.
Travel
The property is about 12 miles from Manchester airport. There are mainline stations at Buxton and Macclesfield and a bus service to Longnor, but a car is really essential. Car hire available in Buxton, Macclesfield or the airport.
Distances
Longnor village 2.5 miles local shop, PO and pubs.
Buxton 6 miles with all amenities, supermarkets, banks etc.
Booking notes
£50 deposit by cheque, with booking, balance payable within 8 weeks of stay. We regret that we do not accept bookings for short breaks.
