Whitbarrow Village on the edge of the Lake District is 8 miles from Junction 40 of the M6 and is midway between Penrith and Keswick. The cottage is situated on a purpose built resort overlooking the Northern Lake District Fells. The upside down accommodation ensures that the open plan beamed living accommodation can make the most of the superb distant views of the Pennines and Cross Fell. A small balcony approached from the living room overlooks a grassed area to the fields and hills beyond. Kirkstone Cottage was built in 2004 and has been used as a holiday home since then. It situated within Whitbarrow Village with its cobbled walkways, landscaped gardens, duck pond and secluded spots where you can relax with a favourite book or watch the wild life around you. The leisure center includes the Reception Desk, an indoor heated swimming pool, children's pool, spa bath, fitness room, sauna, steam room and pool and table tennis tables.There are DVDs and internet access available for hire.

The resort was originally converted from an 18th century Cumbrian Farm, the village has everything to entertain the whole family throughout your stay. The outstanding and newly renovated leisure centre features a friendly bar and a la carte restaurant plus downstairs you will find a heated indoor swimming pool, children’s splash pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, gym and table tennis. Within the village you will also find a crazy golf course, putting greens, giant outdoor draughts/chess board, children’s adventure play area, laundry room and holistic therapy treatment centre. This popular holiday village is only a few minute’s drive from Ullswater, one of the Lake Districts most romantic lakes. Booking notes
The price quoted is for 7 nights accommodation and includes bed linen (changed weekly), towels, central heating, gas, electricity and water. A deposit of £200 is required on confirmation of booking with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before the commencement date. Bookings within the 8 week period require full payment on confirmation. You must be over 18 years of age at the time of making your booking. Short breaks, a minimum of 3 nights, may be available on request.
