Located in the small village of Eskdale Green, Birk How is ideally located for exploring the Western Lake District. The house is in an elevated position with superb views across to Birker Fell. Birk How is a traditional Lake District property full of rustic charm comfortably sleeping six people. The Lounge has an open coal fire (logs and coal supplied free of charge) and the Dining room a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a Rayburn Oven which also provides hot water and heating for the house. The gardens are attractively landscaped and well maintained throughout the year. The local miniature Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway runs nearby and can be used for travelling up to Dalegarth in the heart of Eskdale valley or down the coast to Ravenglass. An ideal base for numerous local walks Birk How is the ideal place to switch off and unwind.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Friday. We ask guests to arrive no earlier than 4.00pm on day of arrival and leave at 12.00pm on day of departure

Accessibility
Birk How is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Good sized and well maintained gardens. Barbeque facilities and summer garden chairs available.
Coast/Beach
Approximately 10 minutes drive to the coast at Ravenglass.
Golf
The local course in Eskdale is spectacular and well worth a visit. Only open from April to October.
Travel
Nearest airport is Manchester approximately 2 3/4 hour drive away. Car essential.
Distances
The nearest larger village is Gosforth, about a 10 minute drive away. Whitehaven, the nearest larger town is approximately a 30 minute drive.
