'Shutters' is in a perfect location situated centrally in the old town: a cobbled street, the harbour and fishing boats sparkling at the bottom of the hill, seconds walk away. Perfect for families, surrounded by beaches, including Carbis Bay a mile to the southeast, great for a walk or a paddle. For surfers, you already know about Porthmeor beach, a stunning setting, bordered by three other beaches all within walking. The town's winding streets are also well known foodie destinations packed with numerous restaurants, pubs and cafes. Neighbouring Porthminster and Porthgwidden Cafes on the beach, and the Alba next to the RNLI station, all offer excellent fare. The hotel Pedn Olva has stunning Atlantic views and a good menu: perfect for lunch. The Sloop Inn, Isobar and Hub are popular nightspots. For art, the famous Tate St Ives, and Barbara Hepworth's house (Museum) displaying her abstract sculpture, are here, and worth a visit. The Eden Project in St Austell is 1 hours drive away.
