Skiing
The property is a seven minute drive away from the fantastic Potteries Ski Center based at the Festival Park Complex. Every weekend it holds sessions for children from the age of three up to adults. It also has a tabogon run and has a Swiss style cafe.

Special interest holidays
The location of the bungalow is fantastic. It is only a five minute drive from Hanley Town Centre which accommodates the Potteries Shopping Centre. The Festival Park Complex is seven minutes away with the fantastic Waterworld Complex(as seen on TV). Of course you cannot visit the Potteries without spending a day at Alton Towers. For the more cultured the area is famous for all its pottery and there are many bargains to be had visiting all the factory shops. Also there are many Auction Houses in the area which hold pottery auctions on a weekly basis. (this is great for picking up something unusual at a bargain) the museums are very interesting and have good exhibitions. If you have children why not take them to The Trentham Gardens where they can go and visit the monkeys in the monkey forest. Trentham Gardens is a new development with shops and cafes and is a lovely day out. The only problem with Stoke on Trent is that there is so much to do it is imposible to fit it all in.

Travel
Stoke on Trent is serviced by three airports. East Midlands is a forty minute drive to the bungalow. Manchester and Birmingham are 1 hour. Stoke on Trent railway station is 10 minutes from the property. The Channel Ports are approximately three hours away.

Distances
Hanley Town Centre is 5 minute drive. (Cultural Quarter (theatres, bars cafes, restaurants, museums and Auction Houses). Brittania Stadium is 10 minute drive (look out for the Summer in the City Concerts) or just go and watch Stoke play. Newcastle under Lyme Town Centre 10 minutes drive)
Alton Towers 15 minutes drive. Trentham Gardens 15 minutes drive. Festival Park 8 minutes drive. Longton one of the five towns of Stoke on Trent. Why not visit Gladstone Pottery Museum.

Further details
If you dont want to use the car, there is a large CO-OP which is a 10 minute walk from the house, Also a there is a chinese takeaway about a 5 minute walk away. (highly recommended). Also Stoke has an excellent bus service and a bus runs at the end of the road up to the town Centre every five minutes.

Guest comments
'We spent a fantastic week over New Year 2007 at Springfields with six of our friends. We went to Hanley (Stoke on Trent City Centre) and did a bit of shopping, we went to the bowling complexand even went to The Regent Theatre to watch a panto. Springfields is bright, spacious and the perfect retreat within such easy reach to all amenities. Springfields is a very reasonable price for all the space and privacy you get. Each bedroom is individually decorated and has its own bathroom. It is perfect for large groups of friends or families, and we all loved it so much we are going back for Easter. Oh, and a lovely Indian Restaurant is about five minutes away called the Red Onion and they even deliver' from Kerry and Peter Holliday. Lincolnshire.

We really enjoyed our stay whilst working at the local theatre. The bunglow is lovely, very relaxing. Thank you
from The Witches of Eastwick. The Regent Theatre.
