Changeover day
To avoid traffic delays and to allow you a more pleasant journey into Cornwall, our changeover day is Friday.
Guests are welcome to arrive after 4pm and departure is required by 10am.

Bedroom 4 with Zip and Link beds: At your choice; a super-king size double Bed or 3ft twin beds.
En-suite shower room to bedroom 1 with double shower, WC, washbasin and shaver point.
Family bathroom with huge bath, fitted shower over, WC,
washbasin and shaver point.
Shower room with shower cubicle, WC and washbasin.
All have heated towel rails.
Large, light and airy, open plan kitchen. Well equipped with ample work surfaces. Having electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, large American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
A large open plan room with separate sitting and dining areas. Having vaulted ceilings makes the room light and airy, but with a comfortable and cosy feel. Furnished with 3 leather sofas and a table to seat 10. Digital TV, DVD and CD.
Separate garden room for reading or watching TV.

Door leads to pretty sun terrace with wonderful sea scape.

 

Notes on accommodation
The rental is fully inclusive of central heating and electricity costs.
Cots and highchairs are available at no extra cost for Chy an Gwennelli.
Egyptian cotton bedlinen, large fluffy bath towels and tea towels are provided with replacements on request.
We ask that you please bring your own beach towels.
We regret, strictly no pets or smoking please in both properties.

Accessibility
From the level courtyard parking area Chy an Gwennelli is accessed by exterior stone steps to the first floor level. The bedrooms are accessed via an internal staircase. At ground level 2 steps rise to the garden room and 4th bedroom. Outside there is a raised decking and patio area. 4 steps rise to the large lawn. From the level courtyard parking area Chy Lowenna is accessed by 3 exterior steps to the entrance door.
The accommodation is on one level apart from 4 steps rising to the lounge.

Outside
A courtyard to the front of the property provides car parking for both cottages.
Chy Lowenna has a private sun terrace garden planted with agapanthus and herbs. A barbecue and garden furniture are provided. The garden over looks St Michael's Mount and has wonderful views of Mount's Bay from Lizard point to Mousehole.

Chy an Gwennelli has a large lawn with pirate themed play equipment. The children at play can be observed from the pretty patio and decking area where a barbecue and furniture is provided for you. The views from the garden are beautiful.

Coast/Beach
The nearest sandy beach is just 1.5 miles away at Marazion the home of St Michael's Mount. Penzance (2 miles) is the gateway to the Scilly Isles. Take a boat, plane or helicopter to visit these wonderful islands. We are ideally situated for exploring both south and north coastlines which have so many beautiful beaches and picturesque coves.

Golf
Golf courses are available locally and include Praa Sands, 15 mins drive, Cape Cornwall, 20 mins drive, and Tehidy 20 mins drive. Others are equally accessable.

Travel
We have very easy access to the A30. Use of a car is recommended. Europcar car hire available at Penzance Train and Coach station. We have a bus service from the farm lane (200 metres). Penzance train station 2 miles. Truro 27 miles. Newquay 32 miles. Plymouth 77 miles. Exeter 109 miles.

About the owner
After a two year rebuilding project, carried out by the owners, the barn became available for holidays in October 2006. Courtney being a builder was well prepared for the project, Fiona, a horticulturist was not! The barn has been designed to provide all that you could possibly require from a holiday cottage with all the comforts of home. We both have a very keen interest in our surroundings and enjoy the beauty of this area of Cornwall where we are so lucky to live and work. Music has an importance in our lives and we are connected to the local traditional music scene in Penzance. Impromptu music sessions take place in several of the local pubs and visitors are most welcome to join in with the musicians, singers and dancers or maybe just join us for a drink!
