The cottage has a large cosy living room, well-equipped kitchen, sun lounge and downstairs bathroom. It sleeps 4 persons having 1 spacious double bedroom with en suite power-shower room and 1 twin bedroom. An additional small toilet with washbasin is also provided upstairs. Wayside Cottage is ideally situated, being half a mile from the beach, for walking, birdwatching and all the North Norfolk tourist attractions. 3 miles from Holt, 3 miles from Sheringham and 2.5 miles from Salthouse and Cley.

Also for: 3 nights weekend breaks (Sat.- Tues.) between £265 - £305. Prices for weekend breaks during school break periods on request only.

Saturday changeover: Departure: 10:00am. Arrival: 3.00pm (changeover days may be flexible during low season only!)

Notes on accommodation
Access into the cottage via 3 steps down into lounge, level entry is also available via back door. Garden access across from back door. Sorry no pets.
Outside
Large enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and brick BBQ and rotary washing line. There is also a small pond, covered for safety, grass area and summer house.
Coast/Beach
Weybourne’s shingle beach and cliffs - not a swimming beach (5 mins. walk from cottage). Sheringham beach (3 miles), Cromer beach (7 miles) and Salthouse beach (2.5 miles).
Special interest holidays
The pretty historic Georgian town of Holt is just 3 miles inland.
National Trust properties like Blickling Hall and Fellbrigg Hall are only a short drive away. Sheringham Park (National Trust) and Holt Country Park are also nearby. Others attractions: North Norfolk Railway (Sheringham to Holt via Weybourne Station). Thursford Collection. Muckleburgh Collection (Weybourne).
Splash pool in Sheringham. Bird watching in Cley and Salthouse Marshes. Horseriding nearby.

Nearest Airport is Norwich, 45 mins by car.

Weybourne is on the A149 Nr. Northfolk Coast Road and in easy reach of Cromer, Sheringham to the east, Salthouse, Cley, Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham to the west.

We hope its the first of many stays. Well equipped cottage, excellent location and friendly neighbours. We enjoyed sunshine and relaxation in the garden. Recommend seal trip to Blakeney point.
Super cottage, one of the best we have ever stopped in. Cromer nice, Holt is perfect (quaint and very arts and crafty). Shop around the corner and Morrisons in Cromer and walking distance to beach! Pensthorpe is worth a visit too.
What a lovely welcoming cottage, great wind swept walks, trips to Sheringham and Blakeney. The cottage with its roaming fire felt just like a home.
Wonderful weeks break in this cosy cottage - everything we need and lots of extras. Take a boat ride to view the seals and have a walk in the georgous Sheringham Park.

About the owner
We bought Wayside Cottage in 2006 as our family holiday home after spending many fantastic holidays in North Norfolk with our two children. As soon as we set eyes on the cottage and the village of Weybourne, we knew that is the place to keep coming back to. Since renovating the cottage, which took us one year to complete, we have spent many happy family holidays there. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard, a home from home. We decided to rent our cottage out the weeks we are not able to go to enable like minded people to enjoy the outstanding beauty of the surrounding countryside in a cosy environment!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The village of Weybourne is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in a conservation area. Our cottage is only 3 miles from Sheringham, 3 miles from Cley (on the coastal route) and 3 miles from the beautiful historic town of Holt. Weybourne beach is in walking distance from the cottage (although not a swimming beach) with breathtaking cliff walks either to Sheringham or Salthouse. The Cley Marshes are perfect for bird watching too. We love going to our cottage as often as time allows us and are never disappointed by the friendliness of the people. There is always something new to explore. We love it!!
