Further details
How to find us:
Somewhere betwixt Dartmouth and Salcombe in South West Devon, nestling in a valley near Kingsbridge and Slapton Ley Nature Reserve there hides a world of peace and tranquillity rarely found nowadays.
From Exeter:
M5-A38 there is a choice of routes. After the 'Plymouth 23 miles' sign take A384 'Kingsbridge-Totnes' exit and follow signs towards Kingsbridge (A381).
1. A short distance after the Halwell Cross BP garage turn left marked Slapton / "Valley Springs". Continue for 3 miles. Turn right at a crossroads signposted Kingsbridge and Sherford (3rd turning right) and "Valley Springs". At the next junction, Coles Cross, turn left and then bear left after 1/4 mile (Kingsbridge Fork). After about 3/4 mile turn left at Stancombe Cross.
Via Kingsbridge:
2. Continue out of Kingsbridge on the Dartmouth A379 road and turn left just before the bridge. Follow this road with the creek on your right and it eventually brings you to Stancombe Cross (the only cross roads where you do not have the right of way) and you go straight over (with due care!).
3. Continue out of Kingsbridge on the Dartmouth A379 road through East and West Charleton then Frogmore, past 'The Globe Inn' and Frogmore bakery and turn left at the Sherford and 13th Century Church signpost. It is then 1 1/2 miles to Stancombe Cross where you turn right.
Continue into the dip of the valley to the main car park entrance.
