Set in 10 acres of West Devon's unspoilt countryside is Culverhayes which has two 17th century cob and stone cottages set in its grounds. Each cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and has private gardens with wooden furniture and BBQs for outside entertaining. Situated in the village of Sampford Courtenay, a Devon heritage village "frozen in time" and famous for the Prayer Book Rebellion. There is a magnificent church, post office and a warm friendly 16th century thatched pub. The cottages are situated away from the well established tourist locations, offering peace and quiet, but only 4 miles from Dartmoor National Park and a half hour car journey from Exeter, a wonderful cathedral city. For aspiring gardeners there is Rosemoor and the Eden Project and for history lovers Torrington. Outdoor activities abound, horse riding, walking, cycling and fishing. Explore the many hamlets and villages. Sample the good quality food served in the quaint pubs.
