A spacious and comfortable, stone built property, it can sleep up to 13 people. Olney is one of the most sought-after destinations in North Buckinghamshire, located in the middle of England. Dartmouth House is handily set along a main road just 20 mins from junction 14 of the M1 making London very accessible. Olney itself has tearooms, antique shops, boutiques & the William and Cowper Museum - all are within easy walking distance of the property. A few minutes drive leads to Woburn Abbey, Castle Ashby and Bletchley Park. There is plenty to keep the children entertained - from Gullivers World to Whipsnade Zoo. For the more energetic, there are vast areas of walking and cycling country, including Salcey Forest & Emberton Park. Milton Keynes offers a different experience with its cinemas, shopping, theatre & alternative sports. Pub 20 yards.

Towels and linen are provided and are changed weekly. The property is cleaned weekly. These services can be provided more regularly by negotiation.

 

Notes on accommodation
The owners home is close by should the occupants require any assistance or advice. For bookings of 2 weeks or longer the house will be serviced weekly to include a change of linen and towels.

The large, mature, south facing, stone-walled garden is enclosed, and it's beautiful aspects may be enjoyed in all types of weather when dining or relaxing on the large verandah, which is attached to the house.

Skiing
The Milton Keynes Snowdome for indoor skiing and snowboarding on man-made snow is 20 minutes straight forward drive away.

Travel
London-Luton Airport 35 minutes drive away. One and three quarter hours from Dover. All timings assume free flowing traffic.

Distances
Olney is ideally located in the centre of the country, equi-distant from London & Birmingham and East to West Oxford & Cambridge. Milton Keynes 20 minutes drive. Oxford and Cambridge both 1 hour 15 minutes drive. London 45 minutes by train from Miton Keynes station and approximately the same by car using the M1 motorway. Birmingham about the same distance as London. Whipsnade 25 minutes. Woburn and Castle Ashby 20 minutes. Buckingham 25 minutes. Bedford 20 minutes. Silverstone 30 minutes.

There is a butcher, green grocer, mini supermarket, bank, post office, off licence.
The local doctors surgery and dentist is a few minutes walk away and there is an optician and hairdresser. There are also teashops, antique shops and boutiques. 20 minutes drive away is Milton Keynes with a fabulous undercover shopping centre with the main stores including John Lewis. Milton Keynes offers a different experience with it's cinemas, excellent shopping, the Milton Keynes Theatre (the most popular outside London) and a huge choice of sporting activities including the Snowdome for indoor skiing on man-made snow. Oxford and Cambridge are and hour and 15 minutes drive away and London, 45 minutes.

Telephone to confirm availability. Deposit of 20 per cent on booking and the balance paid 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. If you book less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost is due straight away.
In the event of cancellation the entire deposit is non-refundable.
