The Long Barn is a detached converted barn situated on a Victorian Model farm (non working) in Higher Clovelly. It is 5 minutes drive from the picturesque village of Clovelly and the Visitor's centre. Hartland, a pretty village with three pubs, post office, two convenience stores and a bakery is also 5 minutes drive. The property is close to easy access to the South West Coast path. The coastline is dramatic and offers views of Wales and Lundy Island. Bideford is 20 minutes drive, with a supermarket, large shopping outlet, restaurants, shops, the Tarka Trail (Bike Riding) and boats to Lundy Island. Westward HO (made famous by Charles Kinglsey) and Sandymouth are both 15 minutes drive and offer sand beaches and surfing. Bude, in Cornwall is 25 minutes drive, with a large sandy beach and excellent surfing. There are three kids fun parks nearby: The Milky Way, Killarney Springs and The Big Sheep.

Notes on prices
Prices shown are per week in UK Pounds and are inclusive of fuel, bedding and towels for 4 people. Cot linen not provided though. A returnable security deposit of £50 per week is required.
Changeover day
Friday or Saturday are the normal changeover days, other days by agreement. Leave by 10 am and start after 4.00 pm. Changeover days are agreed to ensure there is no conflict with adjacent bookings.

Notes on accommodation
Heating and hot water is inclusive in the booking fee and is controllable by guests, safe environment for children, with an enclosed back garden, large side grassed garden, parking for 2 cars.
Good selection of DVDs, Videos and board games available + local maps
Accessibility
The property is all on one level. There is a ramp to the back door and access is possible by going around the side of the cottage and through the back garden. Access to the front door is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Enclosed and private back garden with grass and loose stone patio area. A charcoal barbeque, table and chairs are provided for the back garden. A large grassed garden to the side of the property for playing. At the front of the property, there is a raised patio with countryside and sea views. A cast iron table and two chairs are provided for the front patio. The front door of the property is accessed by four steps.
Coast/Beach
Coastal paths are 5 minutes drive. Westard Ho beach is 15 minutes drive - sandy beach with surfing. Sandymouth beach in Cornwall is 20 minutes drive. This is a picturesque bay.
Bude is 25 minutes, sandy beach and good surfing. A book with tide times can be obtained from the nearest local shop or petrol station.
Golf
Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho is 15 minutes drive away. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country. It is a links course
Great Torrington is 30 minutes drive. 4429 yards, 9 hole, 18 tee course.
Travel
Exeter is 70 miles away. Use of car is essential.
Distances
5 minutes drive to Clovelly and Hartland villages. 15 minutes drive to Bideford or Westward Ho. 25 minutes to Bude (Cornwalll).
Further details
2 Convenience stores are in Hartland village. It has three pubs which cater for families. A fish and chip shop. Hoops Inn a thatched cottage gourmet restaurant is 10 minutes drive - this needs to be booked. The nearest Indian restaurant is in Bideford - 20 minutes drive.
