Pleasantly situated in open countryside The Swallows Nest offers a cosy and comfortable hideaway equipped and furnished to a high standard with its own private patio area and dedicated parking space. Only a 20 minute drive from the centre of York the cottage is an excellent base from which to explore Yorkshire and its market towns, dales, moors and coastline.

Saturday arrive from 3pm. Saturday depart by 10am.

| Living Rooms: | Living room with quality double sofa bed. Open staircase to upstairs bedroom. TV, DVD (DVD library available), CD stereo and modern electric feature fireplace. Books, games, local OS maps and information leaflets. |

Towels and linen are included. The cottage is cleaned and maintained by the owners of the property after each visit to ensure the cottage is first class. |
Notes on accommodation
The Swallows Nest adjoins the owner's house and so all central heating, water and electric usage is included in the price. Not ideal for families with young toddlers due to the open staircase. Prefer non smoking and sorry no pets.
Outside
West facing private sheltered patio with table and garden bench enjoys the afternoon and evening sun. Sunloungers, barbecue, croquet, tree swing, boules and local OS maps are all available. Please feel free to wander in the main garden.
Coast/Beach
Approx 1 hour driving time to Whitby and East Coast of Yorkshire. Beautiful coastline with small fishing villages, such as, Robin Hoods Bay: safe clean sandy beaches with deckchairs and donkey rides, such as Filey and seaside towns with shops, museums and amusement arcardes such as Whitby, Bridlington and Scarborough

Aldwark Manor is 4 miles away with 18 hole golf course and Health Fitness Spa. Easingwold is 10 miles away with 18 hole golf course. Skelton is 6 miles with 9 hole golf course.

Leeds Bradford airport 45 mins by car. Hull port 60 mins by car. Car is essential.

The Swallows Nest is located in the middle of the countryside 1m outside the small village of Linton on Ouse. Linton on Ouse has a small Post Office/shop and The College Arms pub. On the cottage doorstep lovely countryside walks, national cycle route, Linton Locks, River Ouse and Beningbrough Hall. Some guests use Tesco home delivery service for day of arrival. Nearest supermarket and garage is 10 miles. Wealth of village pubs and local hotels serving excellent food, also Chinese, Indian and Italian takeaway within 5 miles. York has huge choice of cafe bars and restaurants, theatres, cinemas, shops, swimming pool and museums ( Jorvik, Dungeons, The National Railway Museum and Castle Museum), Art Gallery, Racecourse, Minster and the city walls.
