Sherford is one of the most unspoilt and delightful villages in the South Hams and boasts a 13th century church. Broomfield Cottage is in a conservation area along a picturesque country lane nestled amongst old cottages and farmhouses. 1 mile from the lovely village of Frogmore and the beautiful creek. Frogmore has an excellent pub, post office, village shop and bakery. The market town of Kinsgbridge is 5 miles away with an excellent range of shops, restaurants, pubs and close to Dartmouth Golf and Country Club. There are public footpaths and bridleways directly from the cottage that lead to the largest natural fresh water nature reserve in the South West. There are many beaches between 10 and 20 minute drive including Slapton Sands, Blackpool Sands, Gara Rock and East Portlemouth. Sherford is an an area of great beauty close to the coast with spectacular cliffs, lovely coves and dramatic walks. There are excellent sailing facilities nearby in Salcombe and the River Dart.

Accessibility
There are steep steps up to the main garden area. The front has steps leading up to front door, no ramps.
Outside
Vehicle access and parking at rear of property for two cars. Additional parking 50 yards along the lane. Secluded private patio including garden table and chairs to seat 6.
Coast/Beach
There are several beaches within a short driving distance from the cottage, including Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands (both Shale) Gara Rock and East Portalmouth (sand) all within 10 to 20 min drive. Slightly further about 30 mins are the large sandy beaches of Wonwell, Hope Cove and Bigbury. 15 min drive is the operational lighthouse at Start Point, one of the few lighthouses open to the public for a small charge.
Golf
Bigbury Golf Club is about 10 miles from the cottage and has outstanding views. Dartmouth Golf and Country Club approximately 7 miles and Thurlestone Golf Club about 8 miles.
Travel
Car is recommended. Exeter and Plymouth airports are approximately 1 hours drive from the cottage. Plymouth Cross Channel Ferry Port about the same. Hourly bus service from Frogmore to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Plymouth. Main line train services from Totnes. Car hire available locally.

Frogmore 1 mile. Kingsbridge 5 miles. Totnes 11 miles. Salcome and Dartmouth 8 miles.
Further details
The beautiful Naval town of Dartmouth is about a 30 min drive, and Dartmoor National Park about a 40 minute drive. Take Riverlink trips along the river Dart from Dartmouth to many other locations including the ancient town of Totnes. Steam trains run at regular intervals during the summer months from Kingswear to Paington and Totnes to Buckfastleigh. Regular car ferries from Dartmouth to Kingswear giving easy access to Torbay, Paington and the picturesque harbour at Brixham. The Woodlands Leisure Park can be found in Blackawton, Nr. Dartmouth. Kingsbridge which is about 5 miles from the cottage with a Tourist information center. There are pleasure trips along the estuary from Kingsbridge to Salcombe. East Portlemouth with its beautiful sandy beaches and walks has a foot ferry to Salcombe with its many shops, pubs and restaurants. There are many more places of interest in the South Hams area for you to discover!
