Guest comments
Thanks so much for the use of the cottage last week. We had a superb time and were thrilled with the peace and beauty of the location. It was so safe for George and he enjoyed the books in the lounge and the ceebeebies on the freeview, not to mention the walks, tractors, blackberries, beaches and St Mawes ferry.
It was great to have a bed as comfortable as one's own! Didn't want to come away. Loved the swims on deserted beaches. Would love to return. September 2009
Owner profile
About the owner
We live in Wiltshire with our 3 children and various animals. Mizpah is our family holiday cottage where we spend many happy times together.
Year purchased: 1995
Why the owner chose a home in this location
My mother-in-law bought the cottage as a holiday home in the 1990's. My husband and I took the cottage on 5 years ago and we have enjoyed many happy holidays there with our 3 girls. We put in new beds and mattresses and started providing bedlinen and towels from The White Company. We have re carpeted and redecorated. Last year we put in a new sofa. This winter we have re roofed, put in central heating (very cosy!) and a new kitchen with limestone floor. Also re tiled the bathroom.
Unique benefits of the property
We love being off the beaten track with a safe garden for the children to run around in. This area is truly unspoilt and uncrowded. We walk to Porthbeor beach with a picnic and even in August this beach is never crowded. On the odd wet day (!) we visit Falmouth or The Eden Project or take the ferry over to St Mawes for an ice-cream.
