The market town of Pickering, home of the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway Line as featured in the popular Harry Potter films is only 4 miles away, Castle Howard 8 miles, Flamingo Land theme park 4 miles. Also Goathland otherwise known as Aidensfield in 'Heartbeat' being only 15 miles away, whilst the east Yorkshire coast line and the historic city of York, are also within easy reach. nearest shop, 3 miles, pub and restaurant in village.
