Deep in Devon country side Old Ford House is set in an idyllic valley amid its own extensive mature gardens and 24 acres of land, home to ponies and abundant wild life. There is a small boating lake with resident ducks and an outdoor heated swimming pool available to guests May to September. Ideal for walkers, there are many National Trust walks nearby or through our own woods. Dogs welcome by arrangement. Devon hospitality can be enjoyed at its best in the many traditional village pubs.

The Cottage is light and airy and centrally heated throughout. There are three bedrooms, downstairs there is a twin bedded room, which overlooks the garden and lake. Upstairs the "galleried double" leads to a children's bunk bedded room. There is a separate bathroom, with bath and wash basin, also a separate shower room and a separate toilet. The large lounge/diner has colour TV and DVD as well as a wood burner. The fully equipped kitchen has a cooker and fridge, as well as microwave and an automatic washing machine. There is a large conservatory which overlooks the fully enclosed and private garden. All bedlinen is provided, towels are only provided on request. The property is cleaned and linen changed weekly or at any change over. |

Accessibility
The Studio is not suitable for people with mobility problems as there are rather steep stairs as access. The Cottage has a downstairs bedroom and bathroom and would be suitable.
Outside
The gardens of historic Old Ford House extend to 1 acre, there is a 30ft x 15ft outdoor heated swimming pool available for the guests to use from May to September. The studio has its own private outdoor sitting area at one end plus a large decking area at the other which overlooks the garden. A portable barbecue is available for use by visitors. The Cottage has it's own private enclosed garden, with walkways leading off to the swimming pool and the lake.
Coast/Beach
Old Ford House is situated mid Devon in ideal walking countryside. All the beauties of Exmoor are a short drive, beaches both North and South Devon are 1 hour drive away.
Golf
Tiverton golf course is approximately 7 miles from the property and welcomes visitors.
Travel
Use of a car is essential, there is plenty room for safe parking at Old Ford House. Exeter is the closest airport being 45 mins away. Bristol airport is 1 hour 15 mins. Hire cars are available at both locations.

Old Ford House is 2 miles from nearest village, 6 miles from nearest town where all services are available, 10 miles from junction 27 M5 motorway.
Further details
All local pubs also serve food - there are many to choose from. For a special occasion there are restaurants locally serving high quality food. The Studio and Cottage have everything needed for self catering, organic produce is available at Old Ford House, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away.
For local produce there is a general market with a range of fresh produce at the Tiverton Pannier Market every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
