The Wave is a delightful holiday cottage for families or friends looking for a relaxing or active holiday in North Devon and sleeps up to six people in three pretty bedrooms (1 sunny double, 1 large twin, 1 double in attic). The Wave is situated in a peaceful side street leading up from the quayside, with sea views down the street. Appledore itself is a fishing village full of character with quaint streets and passageways, stunning views across the estuary towards Instow, galleries, shops, pubs and restaurants. The Wave is ideally located for walking, cycling, surfing and sandcastle building on nearby beaches (large sandy beach at Westward Ho! just 10 mins drive).

Changeover day
Changeover day is a Friday. Guests are asked to arrive after 3.30pm and depart by 10am to allow for cleaning.

All bedding (excl. cot bedding) included (duvets and covers, pillows and cases, sheets). Hand towels and t-towels are provided and changed weekly. The property is cleaned between weekly holiday lets or on a weekly basis for longer stays. |

Coast/Beach
5 -10 minute drive to large sandy beach at Westward Ho! This is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months and is great for surfing, body-boarding and sandcastle building. Head for 'The Burrows' (5 mins drive) for access to other end of Westward Ho! beach.
Sandymouth beach just 20 mins drive - large, sheltered National Trust beach with lifeguards.
Puttsborough, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde approx 30 - 40 min drive - all great beaches!

5 mins drive to Royal North Devon Golf Club (Westward Ho!)
Travel
From junc 27 M5 motorway, Appledore is approximately 45 minutes drive (A361 towards Barnstaple, then A39 to Bideford)
Distances
Just 10 mins drive to Bideford (with large supermarket and pannier market), 15 minutes to Barnstaple (large shops). Lots of tourist attractions nearby, including The Big Sheep (5 mins drive), Clovelly (15 mins drive), Hartland Quay (25 mins drive).
Further details
Local village Co-Op stays open until 10pm and gives 'cash-back'. Great deli on quayside. Tesco deliver to Appledore. Galleries in Appledore sell great products by local artists and are well worth a look around. Restaurants, pubs and cafes within short walking distance. Internet access available at local gallery and library.
