The 3 popular, self catering holiday cottages have been skillfully converted from old stone barns and offer a very high standard of accommodation that is easily accessible. Guests are assured of a peaceful, private location from which it is quick to access the main tourist attractions of both Cornwall and Devon. As a bonus, guests in Skyber and Tikkidew receive 2 free leisure passes to the nearby St Mellion Golf and Country club, and all guests receive special golf passes to the China Fleet Country Club near Saltash.

Changeover day
Skyber's & Kellywyk's changeover day is Saturday & Tikkidew's changeover day is Friday. Out of season it is possible to be flexible.
Notes on accommodation
All 3 cottages at Rowse are private, peaceful and away from any noise or traffic. Rowse is no longer a working farm, so the only noises will be distant sheep, the odd tractor and the occasional passing horse. Skyber and Tikkidew have full central heating, while Kellywyk has its own electric wall heaters in every room. All cottages have off road parking spaces and private gardens. All three cottages are non-smoking. We regret we cannot accept pets.
Accessibility
Although the age and construction of all the cottages at Rowse does not make wheelchair access possible, Kellywyk has no steps or stairs at all. Skyber does have 3 steps up to its front entrance and 2 inside between the dining room and lounge. Tikkidew has a curved stairwell up to the bedroom. Outside
All Rowse Farm cottages have their own private gardens and BBQ's. The free memberships to nearby St Mellion (1 mile away) mean that guests in Skyber and Tikkidew can play golf, and enjoy the fantastic swimming pools, spa and gym. Please contact the owners for details.
Coast/Beach
Rowse Farm Cottages are a short drive from the spectacular coastline of SE Cornwall. Explore the excellent beaches and walks at Whitsand Bay, Cawsand and Looe. Or just walk in the beautiful Mount Edgecombe park overlooking Plymouth Sound. If you are energetic, there are spectacular coast paths around Looe, Polperro, Talland and Polruan/Fowey. Or you can cross the 'bridge to England' and enjoy the walks and beaches of South Devon. If you want to get to north Cornwall, it is only an hour away.
Golf
Guests in Skyber & Tikkidew receive 2 free leisure passes to nearby St Mellion. These also give discounted golf. Guests in all 3 cottages receive special passes to nearby China Fleet Country Club giving substantial discounts on golf.

Travel
The best way of exploring Cornwall is by car. But the nearest airports are Heathrow (4 hours), Bristol (2 hours), Exeter (1 hour) or Newquay (1 hour). You can arrange car hire at any of these airports. The nearest main line train station is Plymouth (20 mins) or Saltash (10 mins).
Distances
Pillaton village, with its 12th century pub and church, is half a mile away. Plymouth, with all its shops, restaurants, cinemas, the National Marine Aquarium, boat trips etc. can be reached in 20 mins. The famous Moors of Dartmoor or Bodmin are a 25 min drive.
Further details
If you would like to eat and drink local West Country produce there are many excellent local food producers nearby. There is a very good Waitrose supermarket 4 miles from Rowse where all provisions are available, or Tesco in Callington.. Good pub food can be had at the Weary Friar in Pillaton (5 mins) or in St Dominick (10 min) and there are some great restaurants in Plymouth, Looe, Fowey, Callington and Whitsand Bay. The nearset towns of Saltash, Callington, Plymouth or Tavistock have all the facilities you will need. Our website also lists a selection of 'Things to Do' while staying at Rowse.
Booking notes
All bookings are done by email if possible. A non refundable deposit of 25% is due on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date. Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the holiday start date will incur the full letting charge if the cottage cannot be re-let. All terms and conditions are the Holiday Booking Confirmation form. About the owner
We escaped the London rat race to return to my native Cornwall in 2004. We found this beautiful, 70 acre estate and 400 year old listed farmhouse in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in Cornwall that is quiet, restful and yet in easy reach of all the parts of the county that make Cornwall so special for visitors. It really is a great place to have a memorable holiday at any time of the year!

We have always loved Cornwall and have spent many happy holidays here ourselves. South East Cornwall is really peaceful with beautiful countryside, coastal walks, beaches and is within easy reach of all the places that Cornwall can offer people wanting a great holiday. It is also very easy to access our cottages by road, rail or via Bristol, Newquay or Exeter airports.
