Self-catering holiday accommodation, near the spectacular North Cornish coastline. This self-contained bungalow sleeps 4 people, in two bedrooms and there is a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. There is a patio area to the front of the bungalow accessed via the patio doors. 4 Hillside is fully equipped to a high standard and includes a microwave, TV, DVD player and Freeview. A cot and a highchair are available free of charge. The beds are made up for your arrival. Electricity is provided via a coin meter. Our Information Pack in the bungalow provides lots of useful information and ideas to help get your holiday off to a perfect start! Whilst reading through the Pack you can enjoy the fresh scones and jam ready to welcome you to Cornwall on your arrival.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Short breaks are Monday - Friday (4 nights) or Friday - Monday (3 nights). If the dates you are looking for are unavailable, please do still contact us as we may be able to offer you alternative similar accommodation.

Bedding is included and the beds are made up for your arrival. A fresh set of bedding is provided for each week of your stay. We do not provide towels or tea-towels, as most guests prefer to bring their own. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival. |
Notes on accommodation
Housed within Penstowe Manor is Penstowe Sports and Leisure Club. Membership to this club is available to guests staying at 4 Hillside. The application forms are available from the Manor House upon arrival at Penstowe, and membership costs £50 per week for a family of four. Shorter periods can also be purchased at a reduced cost.
Penstowe Sports and Leisure Club offers: 2 restaurants; cabaret suite with dance floor; 3 bars; live nightly entertainment; takeaway; children’s entertainment; children’s club and activities; tennis; squash; badminton; amusements; big screen satellite TV; indoor swimming pool; 3 indoor bowls rinks; pool tables; jacuzzi and sauna.
The Stable Block is free to all guests and offers a small shop, access to the two heated outdoor pools, amusements and the Stable Bar & Grill. It is usually open from May - October. Also on site is the launderette, with washing machines and tumble dryers operated on a coin meter basis.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Sandymouth, three miles away. Our bungalow is situated close to the National Trust's South West Coastal Path, and offers access to many spectacular bays, beaches and coves. There are sandy beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, along the coast. Bude is renowned for surfing and there are surf schools in the town for lessons and the hire of equipment.
Travel
The use of a car is essential, as public transport is limited in this area. Penstowe is easily accessible via the M5 from the North Devon Link Road (A361/A39) - or the A30 (Exeter & Okehampton bypass) and Holsworthy.
Distances
The village of Kilkhampton is a ten minutes walk from the bungalow. Kilkhampton offers two pubs, a post office, 2 general stores and a fish and chip shop. The nearest town is Bude, about 6 miles away. Other local sites to visit include Boscastle, Tintagel, Bideford, Clovelly, Newquay and the Eden Project, all within an hour's drive.
Further details
Bude is internationally famous for surfing, and the area also offers excellent opportunities for golfing, horse riding and fishing.
