The bungalow is located on a quiet site with direct views of farmland and the surrounding area including views towards the Needles and Yarmouth. The accommodation consists of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, an open-plan lounge with a dining area and kitchenette, and a bathroom. Parking for vehicles is immediately outside the bungalow. It is fully equipped with colour TV, DVD player, electric cooker, microwave and fridge. There are full mains services.

Changeover day
The normal changeover day is Saturday. The bungalow may be occupied from 2pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure so that it may be cleaned and serviced.

Pillows, blankets and bedspreads are provided but not linen. Hire of bedlinen and towels can be arranged. The property is cleaned between lets. |
Notes on accommodation
Heating is provided by electric radiators. Electricity for heating and other purposes is by £1 slot meter. Cots and high chairs are available to hire.
Outside
Patio and communal grounds. Folding chairs are provided for use.
Coast/Beach
The safe and sandy beach at Colwell Bay is about a 10 min walk from the bungalow. There are other good beaches a short drive away.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at Freshwater Bay, approximately 3 miles away.
Travel
The nearest ferry port is Yarmouth harbour, about 2 miles from the bungalow. Wightlink ferries operate frequently from here to Lymington on the mainland. Alternative ferry routes are from Cowes to Southampton (Red Funnel Ferries) and from Fishbourne to Portsmouth (Wightlink Ferries).
Distances
The village of Freshwater is approx 1 mile away and Yarmouth, with its castle and yacht harbour, is approx 2 miles away.
Further details
Freshwater is the main village in West Wight with two supermarkets, local shops, and several pubs and banks together other facilities including a swimming pool and library. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within the surrounding area, including Yarmouth, Freshwater Bay and Totland. Leisure activities in the area include swimming, horse-riding, fishing, golf and windsurfing/sailing. There are many picturesque walks in the vicinity including the coastal path between Yarmouth/Fort Victoria, Totland Bay and the Needles. One of the finest walks in the area is from Freshwater Bay over Tennyson Down and towards the Needles.
Booking notes
Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday. However, there may be some flexibility of bookings in the low season. We recommend that you telephone or e-mail us first to check on availability, but bookings should be confirmed in writing within 7 days, together with a 20% deposit (non-refundable). Please make your cheques payable to Mrs F A Lindsay. The balance, together with a £10 returnable key deposit, is payable at least one month before the start of your holiday.
