Delightful detached cosy country cottage in a truly idyllic location, yards from the beautiful River Wye. Erwarton is nestled in the woodlands of Symonds Yat, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Miles of lovely walks or bike rides through the woods can be enjoyed directly from the cottage. There are cosy country pubs available within walking distance or a short ferry ride across the river, offering good food and drink, including real ales. The garden leads down steps on to the river, where you can fish, canoe or kayak. It is a very popular spot for water sports and attracts many visitors. Alternatively just relax in the peaceful garden and enjoy a barbeque and glass of wine watching the world go by. The cottage has been recently refurbished to an excellent standard including coordinated bed linen. There are 2 wood burning stoves, making the cottage cosy even during the cold winter months. There is a brand new hand built kitchen with wood burning stove for the 2008 season.

Changeover day
Departure is by 11am Fridays. Arrivals 3pm onwards. Short breaks are also available.

There are lots of local walks and the area is popular for mountain bikers, kayaks and canoes. Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Goodrich Castle, the Forest of Dean and other local attractions are within easy reach.
Travel
Birmingham airport is approx 70 miles and Bristol a similar distance.
Distances
Symonds Yat East is a ferry journey away, Ross and Monmouth are approx 5 miles away.
Further details
There are several pubs close by within walking distance /ferry ride good for food and refreshment. There is a village shop at Whitchurch, approx 1 mile for essentials and a good selection in Ross or Monmouth.

Deposit payable at time of reservation 20%. Balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival, or by arrangement for last min bookings.
