Guest comments
Thank you so much. We had the greatest time in Keswick. Your apartment was such a pleasant treat, so clean that we felt very comfortable there. The weather was fantastic too. The children spent hours looking out the window and drawing. It was a magical week. My daughter is just about finished with the watercolor painting looking out the dining room window. I will make a copy of it and send to you. Thank you again. I hope some time in our lives we'll have the opportunity to return. - Mrs PL, USA

Just wanted to say we had a great time at Crandy Nook. - Mrs YB, Birmingham

Great apartment, tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, wonderful location, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely return. - Debbie, Liverpool

Owner profile

About the owner
We live in the North East of England with our 2 teenage boys. I work full-time for a leisure company, Lorna is a self-employed holistic therapist. Our spare time is spent enjoying the beauty of the Lake District and one day we hope to move there.

Year purchased: 2007

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We purchased Crandy Nook (the building is actually Grandy Nook but is affectionately known to us otherwise) in 2007 and chose the property for its location, the high quality conversion (it's a Victorian property) and the stunning views from the top floor. Keswick is popular all year round and has a certain aura. The property is in the centre of town, a few minutes walk from the Moot Hall, from where many of the local walks begin. There is a wealth of good pubs and restaurants.

Unique benefits of the property
The views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite across the Keswick rooftops from one window, Walla Crag and Castlehead from another, are simply stunning. Latrigg is visible from the main bedroom bay window. We love the walking especially the Borrowdale Valley (check out Castle Crag) and the west shore of Derwentwater (Cat Bells and the lower level walks either side).
