The house is situated in the residential area adjoining the main shopping street in Dartmouth. It has recently been awarded 5 stars by VisitBritain - Quality in Tourism. The house is a ten minute walk down the hill into the centre of the town. The property has been lovingly restored to its original Victorian elegance blended with touches of modern contemporary living. It is ten minutes from the river in Dartmouth and ten minutes by car to the recently reopened town beach at Castle Cove. It is two and a half miles from the beautiful Blackpool Sands with its award winning Venus café. There are many lovely beaches in this area and if you require, the owner will be very pleased to give you more information on arrival.

Per w/e High Season (Easter, 25 June - 3 September and 18 December - 2 January):
Price per 2 nights for 2 people = £210. Price per 2 nights for 4 people = £220. Price per 2 nights for 6 people = £230. £100 per extra night for up to 4. £110 per extra night for 5 or 6
Low Season:
Price per 2 nights for 2 people = £190. Price per 2 nights for 4 people = £200. Price per 2 nights for 6 people = £220. £100 per extra night.
Changeover day
Friday is changeover day. Departure time is 10am. and arrival time is after 4pm. The owner is willing to be flexible about times and changeover days, when possible.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with French antique double bed. Bedroom 2 with pretty iron double bed. Bedroom 3 with bunk beds. There are 3 hampers of toys and books for children. |
| Bathrooms: | The large bathroom has a WC, large corner bath, washbasin and separate shower. |
| Kitchen: | There is a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cooker, hob, fridge, table-top freezer and a plentiful supply of kitchen equipment. |
| Utility Room: | Off the bathroom is the laundry room, which contains a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a picnic bag with blanket, plates, dishes and cutlery. |
| Living Rooms: | The elegant lounge has a flat screen television and DVD player and a plentiful supply of indoor games and books for rainy days. The separate dining room has a large dining table which will comfortably seat six people but can be extended if required. |
| Other: | In the dining room there is a CD player and ipod docking station. Downstairs cloakroom with WC and washbasin. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen, including beach towels, is supplied. For lets longer than a week the linen will be changed every Friday. If extra cleaning is required please contact the owner. |
Notes on accommodation
On arrival guests will find a welcome basket of local organic produce which will usually include milk, bread, cheese, wine, jam, eggs and butter. Tea, coffee (instant and ground), biscuits, sugar and all cleaning products are provided. A selection of fresh and dried herbs, spices, olive oil and condiments are also supplied. Fresh flowers and chocolates add to the feeling of being pampered in this lovely holiday home. Very well behaved children are welcome and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. The owner regrets that smoking is not permitted in the house, courtyard or front garden and that the house is not suitable for pets.

Outside
French doors lead from the dining room into the very pretty small courtyard with a table and four chairs (more outside furniture in the shed). In the shed there are buckets and spades ready for that trip to the beach! Private parking space for the house is 2 minutes walk away.
Coast/Beach
Ten minutes from the river in Dartmouth. Ten minutes in the car to the recently reopened town beach at Castle Cove. Two and a half miles from the beautiful Blackpool Sands with its award winning Venus café. There are many lovely beaches in this area and if you require the owner will be very pleased to give you more information on arrival.
Golf
Approximately three miles from the nearest golf course.
Travel
Totnes is the nearest railway station although it is possible to get to Dartmouth by going to Paignton and then catching the steam train to Kingswear, the ferry across to Dartmouth and then getting a taxi up to the house. It is a good idea to have a car because there are so many lovely places to see in the area. There is a good hourly bus service from Dartmouth to Kingsbridge and Totnes. The nearest airport is Exeter (1 hour) and the nearest port is Plymouth (40 minutes).
Distances
It is a ten minute walk down the hill into Dartmouth where it is possible to catch the ferry to Kingswear, pretty Dittisham or historic Dartmouth Castle.
Further details
There are lots of lovely little shops, two small supermarkets, many pubs and some very good restaurants. There are four cashpoints and three banks.
On the Embankment in Dartmouth there are boat trips to Totnes, occasional sea life trips and there is also small boat hire.

Book by telephone or email. Money to be paid in full if booking is within 6 weeks of stay. If more than 6 weeks then a 10% deposit is required and full amount to be paid 6 weeks before. Money to be paid by cheque (allow 7 days for cheque to clear) or bank transfer for payment from another country.
