We are situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the New Forest, ideal for getting away from all the hustle and bustle. In just a short walk you can enjoy watching a game of village cricket or be out and about in fantastic open countryside with some of the best and most outstanding views. Only 30 minutes from the sea with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole within easy reach. The accommodation consists of a spacious lounge with a comfortable, well stocked kitchen, shower room and twin bedroom. Large garden and patio. The village of Hyde is set on a plateau about 400 feet high and offers scenic walks. It is only a mile and a half from the old town of Fordingbridge on the river Avon, which will cater for all your day to day shopping needs including a fresh fish shop and bakery. Also offering a variety of pubs, restaurants and take aways and a beautiful play park set by the river.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. We offer a discount for OAP's of £20 per booking and or £20 off a repeat booking. We do take long winter let booking price neg. Payment is 25% (Non refundable) with booking and balance, cash on arrival. For oversea's guest's if deposit is difficult to arrange then full balance on arrival.(Cash only - no credit cards or cheques)
Changeover day
Saturday to Saturday. Arriving after 4.00pm and leaving by 10.00am.

Fancy the beach then one of the countries top seaside resorts is only 20 minutes away at Bournemouth, or something a little more traditional with Swanage or Weymouth and the beautiful Dorset country side within easy reach and a lot more besides.

The New Forest area has lots of places to go and lots of things to do what ever your age or holiday requirement. From historic towns, country houses and castles. To wild life centres and children's parks. There are also interesting cathedral cites like Salisbury and Winchester just 30 minutes away.
Booking notes
The charge for annex accommodation is for self-catering £250 per week, £280 High Season (July and August, including Christmas and New Year). £220 Low Season (October until March). Week bookings for self-catering are normally Saturday to Saturday. Arriving after 4.00pm and leaving by10.00am. Special savings for retired couples over 65 or a repeat booking for a limited period.

About the owner
We are a quite family, very easy going and have had guest's now for over 14 years, many of whom have come back year after year.
Its also a very friendly village where people still have the time of day to say hello, a real community spirit.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We have lived here in this house and village since 1983 and would not live anywhere else. Its an oasis in a very beautiful place. Yet only a short drive from
many fantastic cities, towns and the beaches.
Where else can you just walk out of the house and find a donkey or horse walking down the road, with thousands of acres of fantastic open country side.
Unique benefits of the property
Most poeple remark on how beautiful and peaceful it is. How central and easy it is to get anywhere, with so much to see and do.
