Further details
Grange is one of the traditional English villages that has not yet been affected by mass tourism. It is sometimes called the Torquay of the North because of its warm spring temperature - the highest in Northern England, also it rarely has bad weather throughout the year. The whole village was built along the coast, it faces south and to the sea with hills behind.

My husband and I both work in health care and live in a busy city.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We went to Grange-over-Sands for a weekend with our daughter in 2003 and stayed at Summerset House B&B. We liked this old fashioned little town; it felt so peaceful and relaxed. On the way home I picked up a local property paper and found this apartment that was within our price range. I made an appointment to view this property during the following weekend. As soon as we walked into the apartment we fell in love with it, especially the view. So we immediately made an offer for it which was accepted. Over the years we have mostly kept the apartment to ourselves and our friends. We usually stay from Friday night to Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Unique benefits of the property
You can do as little or as much as you want in the area. You can either look at the whole of Morecambe bay by sitting in front of the windows if you don't feel energetic, or you can walk along the promenade and go further towards Kent bank, or Cartmel if you feel energetic. In the spring mornings, through the windows we can see the sun rise and the marsh grass land with sheep and lambs jumping around while the tide is out. Occasionally the tide comes all the way in to the promenade. We are in the centre of the village which is very convenient for shopping and eating locally. There is also, almost next door in the Ornamental Park, a pond with a very large selection of ducks which include beautiful mandaring ducks and other strange looking ducks with pompoms on their heads.
