Far reaching views of the majestic Purbeck Hills and very close to the stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Recently renovated to a very high standard. Bedroom, kitchen, shower room and lounge. Stunning views. Peaceful rural location. Courtyard patio, garden, decking and parking outside.

Bedrooms: The bedroom has a double bed (double quilt/pillows supplied, but you will need to bring your own bed linen), wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror, bedside table, radiator, ironing board, iron and hairdryer.
Bathrooms: Large shower cubicle, basin, wc and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a storage unit, ice box fridge, oven/hob, sink/drainer, kettle, microwave and toaster.
Living Rooms: The lounge has an armchair and 2 seater settee, a book case/display unit with books/games, radio/CD/tape HiFi, TV, Sky box, DVD Player, radiator wood burner and convector/fan heater. Sky Freeview provided, but welcome to bring your own Sky viewing card.
Other: The lounge also has a dining table and 2 dining chairs and is a double aspect room with lovely views.

Property cleaned during changeover by owner, but guests are expected to leave property clean and tidy. Bedlinen, towels and tea towels are not supplied.

Notes on accommodation
No smoking and no pets. We live next door and will both do our very best to help you (if you need us) to have a memorable holiday and hopefully come back again. On the other hand, if you just want to be left alone to enjoy your holiday, you can do so in the knowledge that we are here if you need us.

Accessibility
Sorry, not suitable for wheelchair users due to steps to property.

Outside
There is a courtyard patio with table and chairs at the front of the property with a path leading through the garden and apple trees to the raised decking area. Stone steps lead up to the parking area. Amongst the local wildlife that visits regularly are deer, squirrels, badgers and pheasant etc. There is parking for one vehicle by the property and, by arrangement, some guests may like to bring boats or jet skis to launch at Kimmeridge or Wareham. Storage of bicycles and surfboards etc can be provided on request by the owner. There is a raised decking in the garden, with an amazing view, which is ideal for relaxing and having BBQs (BBQ supplied).

Coast/Beach
Nearest coast/beach is Kimmeridge 2.5 miles but the Isle of Purbeck is surrounded by the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, some of the most beautiful coastline in the country. From the sandy beaches at Studland, fossil hunting/underwater nature trail at Kimmeridge and the rock formations at Durdle Door/Lulworth Cove there is something for everyone. Nearby Poole Harbour has Brownsea Island, as featured in BBC Autumn watch, with it's population of red squirrels. Weymouth is hosting the 2012 Olympics.

Golf
The East Dorset Golf Club is near Wareham and there is the spectacular golf course at Studland with amazing views of Poole Harbour and Studland Bay.

Skiing
Dry Ski slope at Warmwell Leisure Centre near Dorchester (approx 17 miles).

Special interest holidays
We have close links to the nearby Olive Tree Cookery School, where you can attend one day, or longer, cookery courses in anything from Sicilian Cooking to mushroom foraging to cupcakes to Summer Desserts etc. For an extra treat, you can purchase a delicious and beautifully presented picnic hamper for you to enjoy perhaps in the annexe, in the garden, on the decking, out in the stunning Purbeck countrysie or even on one of the many nearby beaches. Travel
Use of car/car hire essential. Bournemouth international airport, approx 25 miles away. Poole channel port approx 16 miles away. Nearby are Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge, East and West Lulworth, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle, Studland, Swanage, Poole, Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Dorchester. They are easily accessible by car. There is a mainline railway station at Wareham and the Sandbanks chainlink ferry at Studland. There is also a steam train that runs between Corfe Castle and Swanage.

Further details
A pleasant walk through the village takes you to the award winning New Inn pub/restaurant. There are many places to eat in Purbeck to suit all tastes and budgets. Church Knowle has a beautiful 13th Century Church and the Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary who sell teas/coffee/ice creams. The nearest shops are in Corfe Castle, including Clealls, the grocery shop featured on the BBC's Mary Queen of Shops with Mary Portas. There are two supermarkets and a good variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and facilities both in the nearby Saxon town of Wareham and traditional seaside town of Swanage. Wareham has the Purbeck Sports Centre with swimming pool, modern gym, all sports. Soft play, cafe/sports bar and even alternative therapies. There are cinemas at Wareham, Swanage and Poole. Purbeck has something to offer everyone from breathtaking scenery, sandy beaches, quality golf courses, fishing, horse riding, climbing, sailing, swimming, walking, cycling, diving, Swanage Steam Railway, Ancient Corfe Castle, Lulworth Castle, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, historic sites, museums, Thomas Hardy’s birthplace, Clouds Hill (Lawrence of Arabia's cottage), a cookery school, farm shops, forests, heathland, RSPB reserve and fossil hunting. Monkey World, the Bovington Tank Museum, Putlake Adventure Farm and the deserted village at Tyneham are just a few more examples of the many attractions close by. If, however, you don’t want to use your car during your holiday, Church Knowle is ideal if you like to walk or cycle as there are plenty of footpaths and bridleways to enjoy. A public footpath goes past the property that links up to the Dorset Coastal footpath. There are numerous footpaths from Church Knowle that lead to many beautiful walks with absolutely stunning scenery. Corfe Castle is accessible by footpath. Also, the film 'Nuts in May' was filmed in the immediate area with many nearby landmarks easily recognisable in the film.

Booking notes
A deposit of £100 is required when booking. The balance and a £50 security deposit to be paid in full at least 6 weeks prior to start date. Security deposit returned within 7 days of departure – receipts provided if any deductions.
