Further details
There are two butchers in the village which are a short stroll from the cottage, these double up as village stores and sell all the essentials plus much more. The village Post Office is also a short stroll away which also sells gift items. All three village pubs serve good food. The village is so friendly and the cottage so comfortable that many of our guests arrive, park their car and their worries and don't feel the need to leave the village.

Guest comments
Genuine recent comments from our guests:
Thank you Rachel and Robert, you have thought of everything, we loved the cottage and the area. It was great to be able to walk to all three pubs - we ate at them all. We will be returning soon.
We stayed at one of your other cottages last year and decided to try Tweedle Dum Cottage this year. We were not disapointed, we slept like kings and queens in the fabulous bed. The cottage was warm and cosy and we are already planning our next visit.
Thank you for another relaxing stay, we slept in every day and loved the new bathroom with the huge bath. Holly enjoyed the fabulous walks and chasing the rabbits.

About the owner
The cottage owner is Rachel Halley, I grew up in Sheffield and spent a lot of my childhood exploring this beautiful part of the UK. I am passionate about the area, the village and I take great pride in being very hands on in the management of the cottage. I have an ongoing programme of improvements which the regular visitors love as there are always new touches whenever they return.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We just love the area, the countryside is so beautiful, the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do, or our guests just relax and unwind. We use the cottage as an escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. Having spent many years renting other people's cottages, we have learnt that home comforts are essential for a relaxing holiday. We have filled the cottage with many luxury items that we think you will love and we would like to share our cottage with you.
Unique benefits of the property
The cottage is conveniently located in the heart of the village within easy strolling distance of the 3 village pubs all of which accept pets and serve good reasonably priced food.
We encourage our guests to shop locally as much as possible. There are 2 butchers in the village which double up as village stores / Post Office and sell all the essentials.
Hollands the butchers make the most delicious pies in house - both sweet and savory and we tend to stock up when we are in the village.
