Completely renovated in September 2009, North Lodge is an exclusive holiday cottage set in the heart of the Lake District, with Windermere centre a 10 minute walk away. This spacious traditional cottage stands in a peaceful hamlet and it is an ideal retreat for individuals or families wishing to 'get away from it all' with its enviable secluded position. There are also a wealth of modern features and quality internal furnishings for those who are looking for greater comfort and entertainment. Wonderful walks begin from the doorstep, such as to Orrest Head, a high point affording spectacular views over Lake Windermere. A wide range of sports, including water sports as well as shops and restaurants are available at Windermere and nearby Bowness. All the other main attractions and locations in the Lake District are no more than a half hour drive away, and the popular Ambleside and Staveley are in easy walking distance. Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday, arrival any time after 3pm. On the day of your departure we'd be grateful if you could leave by 10am. This is to allow us to clean the house thoroughly and make up the beds with fresh linen etc before the next guests arrive.

Notes on accommodation
North Lodge has a newly installed electric and solar powered 'wet system' for central heating and hot water supply. This provides constant hot water and constant temperature control for all rooms in the house. The house is designed to be very 'child friendly' with High Chair and Cot Facilities together with a large selection of Toys, Games and Subscription to Sky TV Entertainment and Kids Package. Bedroom 2 is ideal as the 'kids bedroom' with sleeping for up to 3 children together with TV and Videos.
The house has Wifi internet access provided free of charge and can be utilised once the pass code has been input, which is detailed in the house information pack. Unfortunately due to the recent renovation of the house, pets are not permitted.
Accessibility
There are no steps in to the property and the downstairs area is fine for wheelchair use, but there is no access to the upstairs area other than up the main staircase.
Outside
There is parking available for up to two vehicles in the courtyard area to the back of the property and one space at the side. To the front is an outside seating and barbeque area and garden which benefits from the sun during the afternoon and evening.

The ever popular Lakeland shopping centre and cafe is only a mile from the house, which sits next to Windermere railway station and the main supermarket for the area Booths.
Booking notes
If the house is booked less than a month in advance, full payment is required following completion and return of booking form.
If the house is booked more than a month in advance, a 20% deposit is required with the return of the booking form, with the remainder of the charge due three weeks before occupation.
