Owner profile
About the owner
I am a house wife who enjoys gardening, meeting people, walking on Dartmoor and local woods with our dog Sadie (field cocker spaniel). My husband and I have lived here very happily for 28 years. I can usually be found in the grounds of the main house tending to the gardens.
Year purchased: 2008
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Attractive views in an ideal location, secluded away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have a large garden opposite our house were you will find a lake with moor hens and ducks, you are welcome to walk around and explore the garden, we have garden seats were you can sit and watch the wild life or just read a book.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is just one mile from the village of Winkleigh were you will find a lovely Inn called The Kings Arms it is very old with a superb thatched roof, you can have a cooked meal all through the day into the evening and I can recommend it. For those who enjoy a more active holiday we have very good cycle trails near by ( we can store your bikes for you if you bring them) or you can hire them on the trail, Dartmoor is only 10 miles away if you like walking on the moors, there is also horse riding, golfing and fishing near by. If you want to go to the beach I have buckets and spades and small tents for the children to take and an umbrella to keep the sun off them.
