Guest comments
I have spent two summers now at the Gwelva, and just love Port Isaac. Great views from the house. The garden is secure for the children to run around in and play football, when not on the beach. The house is easy care, the cooker is like the one we have at home, big bonus and the laundry facilities are excellent. Angela Derbyshire
Colin Point: Nottinghamshire. We love our long weekend here. There was no rush to leave on the Monday, which make a nice change. The house was very very clean and warm. Fab views. Would certain book it again.
Gregory from London, what a nice place, very clean, very private and great views. Good pubs and eats in the village, would certainly go back again. Thanks top place.
Owner profile
About the owner
We love to visit Port Isaac, to get away from work and have a relaxing time. Everyone is really friendly and it's nice because there is still a village community.
We have a hectic life in Derbyshire, the combination of the fresh Cornish air, the tranquil pace and the seafood is our idea of a perfect holiday. When you are ready to be active there is loads to do too.
Year purchased: 2004
Why the owner chose a home in this location
You can't beat the North Cornish coast and the fabulous beaches. A Concorde pilot once told me he had been all over the world, and the best beaches were to be found here. The Gwelva is secluded and private, yet within walking distance of the village. The property sits in approx. 1.5 acres with lovely views over the headlands. We bought the property because I spent all my childhood summer holidays on this coast and have very fond memories, it feels like coming home and when I'm here I feel great, beautiful fresh Cornish air.
Unique benefits of the property
It's so easy to relax here and fall into a deep refreshing sleep. The views, I just love the views.
