Owner profile

About the owner
Hello, Vittorio and I (Andrea) live in Brussels and have been happily married for over 30 years. Vittorio was born and brought up in Treviglio, Italy and I was brought up near Watford, Hertfordshire. We spend all free time either in Treviglio, Lombardia or Aldeburgh in Suffolk. Both are within a day’s drive from Brussels. We have three grown up children and they love both Italy and England and stay with us in Treviglio or Aldeburgh whenever they can. Such a treat for us also to spend time with our gorgeous grandsons!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having lived in Italy, Egypt and Belgium we were overjoyed when in the early eighties we managed to buy this property from old friends of the family. Over the years we have updated where necessary but nevertheless tried to keep the original character of the cottage. Still resident in Brussels we visit Aldeburgh as often as possible. We love the friendly atmosphere, the walking and ever changing sea. There is always so much to do and see in the area as well as tweaking the cottage and garden into shape. Our children have always loved spending time there and now we have the joy of our grandchildren visiting us on our trips over. Being a home from home the house is very well equipped and there are plenty of books, games and toys.
