Situated in the Meadfoot area of Torquay, within walking distance of Torquay and the harbour area. Meadfoot Beach is also within walking distance of the property.

There is Meadfoot beach available within walking distance as well as Torre Abbey sands. There are a beautiful selection of beaches available further afield. Meadfoot beach is a blue flag (quality coast award) beach as well as a marine conservation society recommended beach.
Golf
Golf is available in the St Marychurch area of Torquay and there are out of town golf courses available - please enquire with the owner for further details.
Skiing
There is a dry ski slope in Torquay (www.skitorquay.co.uk). Plymouth contains a ski slope.

New for 2010 - we are able to offer the services of a local beautician to either visit you in the comfort of your holdiay home or attend at her salon - she is able to offer facials, manicures, pedicures, massages etc. If you require details forwarding to you at the time of booking please ask - alternatively full details can be found inside the house.
Travel
Exeter airport is the closest airport to the house being around a 40 minute drive away.
Distances
Torquay harbour area with shops is about a 5 minute stroll from the house.
Further details
There is an out of town shopping centre on the Willows in Torquay which contains a M&S, Mothercare, Next, Boots, Sainsburys etc. Waitrose is available in Plainmoor. Exeter and Plymouth, both further afield offer good shopping facilities.
Booking notes
20% deposit payable at time of booking. Remaining balance due 8 weeks before arrival. £50 security deposit payable - refundable following satisfactory inspection of the property following departure. Payment can be made by either cheque or credit card (with the exception of AMEX). 2% charge payable for bookings over £500.

I am married with 3 daughters and a step son. My husband was born in Torquay but I moved to Torquay from Northamptonshire 24 years ago. My husband and I started off with Fairdale as a holiday let then added two further houses, as we enjoy hearing that people have enjoyed their holidays, and try to make all our properties a real home from home. We can offer you advice and recommend local attractions to you especially child related activities having 4 children ourselves!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We purchased this property to add another holiday let to our business. We liked the fact that the property was part of an old school house and retained some of its original features and also its location close to all of Torquay's amenities.
