Lydensign gets its name from long ago when visitors to the Castle had to stable their horses there and pick up a sign or password to be allowed in to the Castle. Hemyock is situated in the Culm Valley on the Blackdown Hills now ANOB ‘Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with fantastic views and walks and so many places of interest in the area that it makes an ideal base for touring or just relaxing. A ‘places of interest folder and walks’ folder are at the cottage for you to browse and plan your next day agenda at your leisure.
