Coast/Beach
From: Stogursey To: Lilstock total distance: 3.08 mile(s) (4.96km), about: 12 minute(s). Lilstock provides an excellent opportunity to walk along the coastal path and to see the Welsh coastline on the other side. The Lilstock to Blue Anchor Coast is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and provides an outstanding series of sections through the Early Jurassic period.
Golf
Total distance: 5.07 mile(s) (8.16km), about: 20 minute(s) by car. The course at Cannington Golf Club was designed by Martin Hawtree, a leading modern golf course architect, and opened in 1993. It offers a true links experience in some fine surroundings. The discerning golfer may be put off, however, by the fact it offers only nine-holes and measures less than 3000 yards in total, to a par of 34. Underestimate at your peril, though, as if you don't take the time to play it, you will miss out on one of the finest pay-and-play courses around. At £9.50 per round, will you find better value anywhere? It has some challenging holes too, with some bewildering par-4s made even more tricky when the strong prevailing winds blow.

All the amenities at Mill Farm Caravan and Camping Park are available to all guests staying at the Acland (less than 2 miles away). As specified below: FREE: indoor heated tropical pool and one outdoor pools, with a Giant Water Slide. The Swimming Pools Easter - end November. There is also a shallow boating lake, sand pit, games room, swings and slides. For hire - ponies, canoes, trampolines and pool tables. The Club with entertainment open during bank holidays, high season, and most mid-season weekends. The hot take-away is available every day during high season and on Friday evenings during mid-season. By Coach: There is a regular National Express coach service to Bridgwater. By rail: Some Intercity trains stop at Bridgwater but you may need to get a connection service from Taunton.
