Situated in Park Street, leading from Masham's Market Square, Clipstone Cottage is a finely built traditional terraced cottage. Clipstone has been recently refurbished to a high standard to ensure a comfortable stay. The Market Square, one of the largest market squares in the North of England, hosts weekly and speciality markets such as the annual Sheep Fair every September. Other events in Masham include a Summer Music Festival, an Autumn Arts Festival and in July a Steam Rally. There are plenty of walks to suit ramblers of all abilities and for real ale fans the town is home to The Black Sheep brewery and the Theakstons brewery.

Changeover day
During the peak season, changeovers are on Saturday. Off peak, we are flexible, please enquire.
Check-in is after 3.00pm. Check out is by 10.00am.

Towels and linen are included and are changed per week. The cottage is cleaned prior to guests arriving. |

Clipstone Cottage is a traditional cottage, and has not been subject to any adaptations to improve access for people with mobility problems.

Coast/Beach
Both Whitby (approx 70 miles) and Scarborough (approx 60 miles) are an enjoyable drive from Masham, over the North Yorkshire Moors.
Golf
Masham has its own 9-hole golf course, visitors welcome. Bedale and Ripon Golf Clubs (both 18 holes) are both 20 minutes drive away.
Travel
Getting to Masham: By car is about 10 minutes from the A1. A car is recommended to enjoy the surrounding dales and visit the local attractions. The nearest airports are Teesside, Leeds/Bradford, Doncaster Robin Hood, and Newcastle. All within 2 hours drive by car.
Distances
The cottage is situated just off the historic Market Square. Nearby is the Co-op supermarket with cash point, newsagent, chemist, Post Office, butchers, two banks, restaurants and various tea shops. Masham has two award winning breweries in the town. The Black Sheep Brewery and Theakstons Brewery, both have interesting visitor centres. There are beautiful walks along the River Ure, only a short stroll away from the cottage. Walking maps provided.

Booking notes
Bookings preferably by e-mail. A deposit of £90 per week shall be payable on confirmation. The balance to be paid 4 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than 4 weeks from the commencement date, then the full payment should be paid on the return of confirmation. A refundable damage retainer of £50 is required. This will be refunded within 10 days of your departure, when the property has been checked. Payments by cheque please.
