About the owner
Hello. We are Neil and Clare Hugo who run a family dairy farm in the heart of Cornwall. We have four children and one grandson. Our two sons work on the farm and two girls, one of whom is studying to be an art teacher and the other is a teenager still at secondary school. We have a pet pig called Kevin who is adorable; two lovely horses, Fern and Gypsy, a keen goalkeeping dog called Kean and Tim our friendly spaniel.
Year purchased: 1960's
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Neil's dad bought the farm in 1964 when Neil was just 4 years old (Now you can work out how old he is!). The farm has more than quadrupled in size since then and more cows meant the milking parlour just wasn't big enough. They decided to move the milking set up down the road, which left the barns redundant. The barn set was then transformed into accommodation.
Unique benefits of the property
Surrounded by an area of Outstanding Natural beauty, and with a nature reserve adjoining the farm, there is an abundance of wildlife around us. Fabulous walks and of course the network cycle route.
The farm is very centrally situated, with the south and north coasts both less than half an hour away. Travelling around the county has been made much easier with the new A30, which is just 10 minutes away.
