'Lyonesse' is a cosy, two double-bedroomed 'cobstone' cottage, which sleeps 4-6 people, in the heart of Mount Hawke village. The cottage lies approximately halfway between Newquay and St Ives just outside the historic ex-tin mining town of St Agnes. Mount Hawke has a convenience stores with bakery and off licence, a post office and a pub all within walking distance. A 5 min. drive or short walk brings you to the fantastic surfing beach of Porthtowan. Other beaches all within a few miles are Portreath, Perranporth, Trevaunance Cove and Chapel Porth. A short drive brings you to the ever popular towns of Newquay, St Ives, and the beautiful catherderal city of Truro. Lyonesse Cottage has two double bedrooms (1 with 2 x 2'6" zip-link beds) a fully fitted dining kitchen, a recently refurbished bathroom with shower and a cosy living room with electric log-effect stove. To the front of the cottage is a small courtyard with table, chairs and barbecue. The perfect base for exploring Cornwall.

Changeover day
Changeover day is usually on Saturdays but can be flexible subject to availability. Please do not arrive before 4pm unless by special arrangement. Departure by 11am (unless by prior arrangement).
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with 2 x 2'6" Zip-link beds. Both bedrooms are pleasantly decorated and have pine furnishings and co-ordinating bed linen. |
| Bathrooms: | Fully fitted bathroom with white suite. Bath with shower over, wc and vanity wash hand basin. |
| Kitchen: | Fully fitted kitchen/dining room. Cooker, hob, fridge, washer/dryer and microwave. Dining table and 4 chairs. There are some basic essentials tea, sugar, spices etc which you are free to use and replace as needed. |
| Living Rooms: | Cosy living room with 2 x 2 seater settees (1 which easily converts into a double bed), and matching foot stool (all new for 2009). Flat screen TV with Freeview, and DVD player. Electric log effect stove. |
| Other: | Travel cot available. Please provide cot bedding. There are dvd's, books, cards and board games to keep you entertained. We also have a body board and some beach items which you are free to use. |

All bed linen and towels are provided (excluding cot bedding), and will be changed weekly. Please provide beach towels. |

Notes on accommodation
The cottage is ideally suited for 4 people but can accommodate up to 6 (if using bed settee in the living room) at no extra cost. Children are welcome.
Travel cot is provided (please bring own cot bedding).
Central heating is provided by night storage heaters to all rooms, and an electric 'stove' in the living room.
Heating, electricity and hot water are all included.
Outside
To the front of the cottage is a small sunny courtyard area with table, chairs and BBQ for 'al-fresco' dining.
Coast/Beach
Lyonesse is ideally situated for exploring the North Cornwall coastline. It is situated just a 1 1/2 miles (5 min drive) from the fabulous 'Blue Flag' surfing beach of Porthtowan. A beautiful 30 min walk from the cottage through 'Park Shady' wood will also bring you to Porthtowan beach. Surf hire and lessons are available.
Perranporth, Chapel Porth and Trevaunence Cove are all a short drive away.
A little further afield brings you to the ever popular Newquay town and beaches and St. Ives.
Golf
Golf courses can be found locally at Tehidy and Perranporth.

Fabulous surfing beaches can be found all along the North Cornwall coast.
Cycle hire and cycle trails.
Travel
Mount Hawke is conveniently located just a couple of miles off the A30.
A car is recommended.

Further details
Mount Hawke village has a convenience store open daily (which has an in store bakery and off licence!), a post office, hairdressers and florist. The nearest pub, 'The Victory', is a 20 min walk (3 mins by car) from the cottage. This is a very friendly traditional pub serving excellent food, with a beer garden and conservatory. St Agnes is a beautiful village with many shops, a chemist, banks, pubs and restaurants and a popular beach. In Perranpoth you will find a larger selection of shops, pubs, take-aways, cafes and restaurants and a superb surfing beach. 'SK8'- an indoor skateboard park popular with locals and visitors is situated on the outskirts of Mount Hawke village.
