The Beach House is a perfect haven for those looking to escape the hectic pace of everyday life. Refurbished to a high standard. A place where you can wake up in a king size bed and look straight onto St. Ives Bay and Godrevy lighthouse. Watch the ebb and flow of the tide, whilst having your morning tea or coffee. Step out of the door and walk on the dunes or beach comb in St. Ives Bay. There is a private garden and patio where you can eat outside whilst watching the sunset over the bay. Alternatively, there is a daybed sofa in the living area with free view TV and DVD player. Lelant, the birthplace of Rosamunde Pilcher, is conveniently located near to St. Ives, whilst remaining a peaceful and relaxed village even in the height of summer. The Eden Project is within easy distance to visit for the day, as are many of Cornwall's tourist destinations. A great location, especially of interest to golfers, walkers, painters, ornithologists, kayakers, windsurfers and anglers.

Changeover day
The Beach House is available from Saturday to Saturday at 4.30pm on the day you let it until 10.00am on departure day.

| Living Rooms: | Open plan living area with double daybed sofa and two person knowle settee. Freeview TV and DVD player. Large selection of films and documentaries available on request. Dining area with table and four chairs positioned by two windows with sea views. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Fresh towels, bathrobes and bedlinen are provided. The property is thoroughly cleaned after each guest vacates. For stays of more than one week, all sheets and towels will be changed and the accommodation will be vacuumed. |

Notes on accommodation
The house is underfloor heated. High chairs and travel cot are available on request. The Beach House is suitable for children. Due to its unique positioning the Beach House does not have vehicle access or parking on site. The nearest parking is 250 meters away by St. Uny Church. It is free.

The location of the property means it is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Coast/Beach
Located on Porthkidney Beach. Cornwall has some of the UK's most beautiful beaches. There are many other beautiful beaches in West Cornwall that are within easy driving distance. The National Trust Godrevy Beach is 15 minutes drive away. Gwithian Towans is also 15 minutes drive away. St. Ives town Beaches are all accessible by the St Ives bay line (2 stops).

Special interest holidays
The Beach House is a truly stunning location for painters to experience the special 'light' of St.Ives Bay. The location inspired John Miller to paint world famous seascape and images of the views.
May/June is a good time for Anglers to fish for bass from the Beach. Kayakers and gig rowers are seen daily on the estuary. Hayle Towans on the opposite side of the estuary is a popular surfing, kite-surfing and wind surfing beach. The Hayle estuary is the most southerly estuary in the UK and the last stopping spot on mainland UK for migrating birds. It is therefore a RSPB reserve. Walkers can step out the door and walk the Hayle to St Ives section of the South West Coastal Route. Lelant was the birth place of Rosamunde Pilcher author of the Shell Seekers for those interested in the literary connection.
Travel
Newquay Airport is approx 30 miles away. Car hire is recommended.
Falmouth seaport is approx 25 miles away.
Plymouth seaport is 75 miles away.
The nearest mainline train station is St.Erth (2 miles) on the London Paddington to Penzance line. London Paddington is approx 5 hours by train. Change to the St. Ives bay line and two stops to Lelant station half a mile away.
Bus numbers 14 and 17 are a 10 minute walk away. They go to Penzance,Truro and St. Ives.
Distances
St. Ives is 3 miles away. Penzance is 6 miles away. Truro is 20 miles away. Eden project is 30 miles away.

Booking notes
Fill in the booking form and send it to Nicola Cannon-Brookes along with the deposit. Deposits are 25% of the total price unless you are booking within six weeks of arrival when full payment is required. The deposit can be paid either with a cheque made out to M Cannon-Brookes. Six weeks prior to the Client’s rental start date, payment of the balance is due either by a cheque made payable to M Cannon-Brookes or bank transfer.

We had a fantastic week at the Beach House! The Beach is just great, we made our homes in the sand dunes every day! The house has a real homely comfy feel and the kids loved it! The garden is so lovely. I will miss having my tea in the mornings and looking out at the fantastic view. We normally stop in Carbis Bay but I think this is far more wonderful than that!
