A tastefully furnished bungalow in its own grounds for holiday makers, ramblers and those travelling long distance for Naturopathic Treatments, Allergy Treatments or folks just wanting to escape to the country. Lounge dining room, breakfast kitchen, conservatory with dining area, reading/games room, three bedrooms and large entrance hall. To the rear and side of the bungalow is a patio and garden backing onto paddocks, exercise pool and spa can be booked for private use in the grounds. Wheelchair access throughout is good being all on one floor. Well behaved dog welcome (only one dog at a time) in the reading/games room only. No smoking within the property please, every effort is made to keep the property as allergy free as possible.

Kitchen: Kitchen with breakfast table, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator with small freezer section.
Utility Room: Utility room with iron, ironing board, washing machine, tumble dryer, hairdryer. Outside a washing line and pegs provided. Drying in boiler room also.
Living Rooms: Large lounge living room, 3 piece suite, dining table, Welsh dresser open or electric fire, radio, vinyl player. Views over paddocks.
Other: Conservatory with dining table and chairs. Games/reading room with full size table tennis, exercise bike/ row machine and a large selection of books, toys and board games. For a child - Child's rocking chair and small dining table and chairs.

Duvets, linen and towels are provided (please bring own cot bedding). If you are staying for two weeks and would like a mid stay clean and sheet change then please let us know.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is good being all on one floor and spacious areas in all rooms, ample private parking is close to the rear entrance. All timings mentioned are by car which is essential in this remote location, though taxis are readily available locally.

Outside
Exercise training pool 12x20ft, heated all year. Spa hot tub for 6 people open all year. To be booked for private use. Private drive and parking.

Coast/Beach
The coast is 16 miles to Bridlington and Flamborough then further to contrasting beaches - Scarborough, Flamborough, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. Malton is on the way over to Pickering, the North Yorkshire Moors and Whitby.

Golf
Close by golf courses in Kilnwick Percy 10 minutes or once championship course at Ganton 45 minutes.

Skiing
Not close to a skii resort though the village has hills with access to skii & sledge when the snow falls.

Travel
Leeds Bradford airport, Humberside airport are approximately one hour distance by car and Hull ferry port 45 minutes.

Distances
15 minutes drive to the market towns Driffield, Pocklington, and 20 minutes to Beverley (with Minster) and Malton each have a good selection of shops, supermarkets and a market days. Stamford Bridge and famous battle site of 1066 is on the way to the historic walled city of York in just 18 miles.

Further details
Huggate is a remote hamlet on the Yorkshire Wolds, a farming community with local characters and friendly ambience. Highlights are the Village church with spire, one of the deepest wells in England. The bungalow is a two minute walk away from the village 16th Century historic free house inn, The Wolds Inn, one of the best eating houses in the county which offers an excellent selection of traditional English meals in a Yorkshire portion size and excellent beer. For the outdoor folk rambling and walking are the main activities for visitors, right out from the doorstep onto the Wolds Way or Minster Way or down the valley to Millington Wood. Other local activities within 20 minutes include golf, fishing, and horse riding.

Booking notes
Minimum stay is 2 nights offering midweek and weekend short breaks. A 50% deposit is required upon booking with the balance payable on or before 4 weeks prior to arrival date. We also ask for a £200 deposit refundable less amounts for breakages, damage and any extra cleaning that maybe required.

A local girl brought up in the village having travelled the world on business now enjoys being back home in the pleasant scenic countryside that is hard to beat anywhere in the world.
