The garden flat is part of Wreay Mansions, a small collection of homes, situated in the scattered hamlet of Watermillock, above Ullswater. Sailing, fishing, golf, horse-riding and quad-biking are all nearby - and of course, fell-walking, climbing, cycling too - all amongst stunning scenery and along quiet back-roads. Alternatively, you may just enjoy the chance to sit in the garden, read a book, contemplate, write or draw. The local Brackenrigg Inn is half a mile downhill, on the lake road and serves restaurant and pub meals - and for ‘foodies’, or for a special treat, the area is very well-served with Country House hotels. Shops and cafes are in Pooley Bridge (2 miles). More amenities are in the market town of Penrith (6 miles). The popular town of Keswick on Derwentwater is a 20 minute drive away - and a slightly longer, but more scenic route along the lake and over Kirkstone Pass, takes you to Ambleside and Windermere.

Booking notes
We require a deposit of £100. The full balance is due six weeks before arrival and in the event of cancellation before then, we will do our best to re-let and refund your deposit minus a £25 administration fee.
If the let is cancelled within six weeks of arrival you will be liable for the full rent.
