Clifftop walks and a series of attractive bays and beaches are just a 4 minute walk away. Ramsgate with its lovely harbour can be reached via a 45 minute walk along cliff top and through George IV park.

Travel
The local railway station (main line from London) is a 2 minute taxi ride or 12 minute walk from the property. A short drive away are Dover(33km - 30mins), Folkestone (51km - 40mins) and the Channel Tunnel (54km - 45mins). The nearest airports are Gatwick (135km - 1hr30mins)), Heathrow (174km - 1hr55mins) and Stansted (163km - 1hr50mins).

Distances
Pretty Kent villages (Chilham, Wingham and Sandwich) are all within short driving distance. The cathedral city of Canterbury is just a 30km (25 mins) drive away or can be visited using the excellent bus service serving Broadstairs (pick up point 5mins walk).

Further details
A supermarket, fish shop, butchers and greengrocers are just 5 minutes away as are banks and building societies. Toy shops, restaurants and cafes are all equally close by.

Happy at the seaside

About the owner
I live in Epping Essex with my husband, we are both retired and enjoy the surrounding countryside and woodland areas but are basically coastal people. We love the sea and long walks on beaches and cliff tops around Broadstairs. The cottage was in my family originally and then came on the market unexpectedly. We just love the location and the cosy feel of it so we pulled the stops out to aquire it. We make a point of going straight to read the guest comments in our visitors book and it is rewarding to see the record of happy times in Broadstairs and our second home.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The cottage was once owned by my father and when it came up for sale I could not resist it - it required a lot of work to bring it up to the current standard but it was a labour of love and we are very pleased with the result. The Isle of Thanet and Broadstairs in particular has its own micro climate which is generally warmer and sunnier than further inland - it is also close to the historic city of Canterbury with its wonderful cathedral. From Broadstairs there is a lovely cliff top walk which takes you through a park with a delightful small conservatory and tea bar on the green (in season) before a gentle descent into picturesque Ramsgate with its grand harbour.

Unique benefits of the property
The cottage is hidden away in a quiet cul de sac with off road parking, yet it is in the middle of the town just minutes from the tremendous choice of restaurants, bars, shops and also the 3 pretty bays of Broadstairs. The secure walled rear garden of the cottage includes a decked area and small lawn offering peace and quiet from the bustling town centre. Nearby bus stops offer frequent services to a Retail Park and Shopping Centre and the towns of Margate, Ramsgate and the city of Canterbury. The main line station of Broadstairs offers links to London.
