Beach is 30-50 yds away. Sandy with rock pools and relatively safe.
Golf
Whitsand bay Golf course is 50 yds away from Thanckes House and Villa and 300yds from the Coastguard Cottage. Set out in 1905 it is Par 69 and laid out on the cliffs with stunning sea views. £65 for unlimited golf for a week or £25 per round. St Mellion is 20 minute drive.
Travel
Use of cars is recommended as public transport sporadic. Plymouth airport 30 mins. Train station 20 minutes (Liskeard).

Plymouth 5 miles. Liskeard 7 miles.

Finnygook Inn. Wonderful village pub, great food and all welcome, half mile. Discounted rates for guests of whitsdand Bay self catering.

Thanckes house is an unbelievable House. We come year after year. There is nowhere like it.
The Coastguard Cottage is so close to the sea. I can lie in bed and stare. Stunning.
The Villa is ideal for golfers. Have drink in the Hotel Bar and wander off to the first tee. Really comfortable.

We are a Cornish family who have lived in Portwrinkle for over 40 years (no webbed feet). We absolutely love Portwrinkle and are sure you will to. You can either kick back and enjoy the views or be as active as you like.
