Goose Nest House is a luxury lakeside holiday home equipped to five star standard. With vaulted-ceilings and wall to wall glass windows opening onto a glass-fronted balcony overlooking the lake towards a site of special scientific interest. Situated in the award-winning Lower Mill Estate, guests have free, unlimited access to the newly built £6 million spa with its slate-lined indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym; all just three minutes' walk from your doorstep. All guests of Goose Nest house have fishing rights on the lakes and can sail. The 450 acre private nature reserve has bird hides dotted around so you might spot the otters and beavers, wildfowl and deer that thrive on the Estate. The Estate also has a small shop, children's playground, trampoline and petting area. Based in the Cotswold Water Park with cycling, fishing, sailing, cable-skiing and lakeside walks. The house is a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds villages and historic towns.

Notes on accommodation
Set over 3 floors, the house has reverse living with the open-plan living area on the first floor which maximises the views over the lake. The second master bedroom occupies the whole of the second floor with its own en-suite bathroom.

Please note this is a strictly no smoking property including the balcony.

The house is not suitable for wheelchair users.

About the owner
We have a young family and enjoy time away with them and sharing holidays with friends in a relaxed, but comfortable location. Comfy beds are essential in our holiday needs! Goose Nest is the only holiday home we own, and we strive to ensure that all guests have a relaxed and stress-free time at our house.

Year purchased: 2008

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We rented a house in Lower Mill Estate ourselves and fell in love with the place - walks around the lakes, children out playing and cycling and, of course, the superb spa treatments! It seemed like the ideal place to relax and unwind and yet only 90 minutes drive from London.

Unique benefits of the property
We have equipped the house to be a home from home both in terms of the kitchen and comfort. Nobody likes having to do washing up on holiday, so we have twice the number of cutlery and crockery so one set can be in the dishwasher as you move onto the next meal! Travelling with children can turn into a logistical challenge, so we have baby and toddler carriers, pushchair, cots, high chairs, bottle warmers, sterilizer and plenty of children's toys, books, DVDs and games so we can literally pack some clothes and go! We hope that guests feel they can do the same.
