Port Isaac is a beautiful fishing village on the North Cornish coast. This magical area is an 'outstanding area of conservation' and when you visit you’ll know why. Sunny Corner cottage is situated just off the central part of old Port Isaac just two minutes walk from the harbour. It is a two hundred year old fishermans cottage built into a bank with traditional Cornish stone. It has a unique and lovely character. The end cottage of a terrace of three situated along a small cobbled path. Sunny Corner is a very special family holiday cottage, basic in decoration - with whitewashed walls, original slate floors and a beachy feeling, filled with pebbles and shells, rather than mod cons.

Notes on accommodation
Sunny Corner sleeps 4 people, and the odd additional child - let us know what your requirements are. Please note that we don't usually accomadate pets but the occasional well behaved dog is allowed, for which we charge a small fee. The cottage is most suitable for young families and couples wanting a romantic break. It does not have direct parking, and access is by slate steps and a narrow path. Duvets and pillows are provided. On a cold evening or day, light the coal burner and it will chug cosily away for hours of comfort and warmth - warming the whole cottage and making the cottage perfect for winter holidays too. The lounge and bathroom both have storage heaters which will be going all through the winter, and this is included in the quoted price, as is all electricity.
Accessibility
We regret that the old paths that access the cottage do not easily allow wheelchairs, and we would suggest that it is not suitable for the infirm. There is no parking outside the cottage.
Outside
The cottage has a South facing terrace equipped with 4 cast chairs and a table - good for eating out and BBQs. We usually make sure there is a BBQ available.
Access to the cottage is by foot. Park on the road above and take your bags down Back Lane (running past the top of the cottage), or park temporarily on the harbour beach. The car park at the top of the village is five minutes walk away.
Coast/Beach
2 Minutes walk from Harbour.

Further details
Port Isaac also boasts the worlds tiniest road - Squeezee Belly Alley.
Fishermen still work the coast, and keep the harbour busy. Wonderfully fresh fish, local crab and lobster can be bought all year round from the quayside. Local fishermen also run fishing trips during the summer, if you fancy a go yourself. The stunning natural harbour was once used by smugglers - see it at night and and you can imagine the low splash of oars as goods were rowed ashore.
At low tide there are rocks and rock pools for the kids to explore, and the harbour is surrounded by cliffs - loads of opportunities for healthy walks with stunning views. Port Isaac is especially appealing if you prefer a holiday away from the rush of the city or the noise of a busy resort. It is a quiet place with all you need - small restaurants and good pubs frequented by locals and visitors. Local shops will provide all the basics - and more - and include a village store, a post office, and a fishmongers.
A short drive along narrow lanes will take you to the historic and mythical towns of Tintagel and Boscastle and to the many small coves and villages of North Cornwall. The huge and lovely beaches at Daymer Bay and Polzeath are perfect for both sun kissed summer days and windswept winter walks.
We fell in love with Port Isaac when we first visited and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
