Port Isaac is a beautiful fishing village on the North Cornish coast. This magical area is an 'outstanding area of conservation' and when you visit you’ll know why. Sunny Corner cottage is situated just off the central part of old Port Isaac just two minutes walk from the harbour. It is a two hundred year old fishermans cottage built of traditional Cornish stone, and has a unique and lovely character. It is the end cottage of a terrace of three situated along a small cobbled path. Sunny Corner is a very special holiday cottage which we try to stay in as often as possible. When we are not staying in it, we rent it out so that others can enjoy it too!

Further details
"A highly picturesque fishing port with narrow, almost perpendicular lanes, slate hung houses, little gardens in front of them with shells in them bought by old salts from the Indian Ocean." John Betjeman.
Port Isaac also boasts the worlds tiniest road - Squeezee Belly Alley.
Fishermen still work the coast, and keep the harbour busy. Wonderfully fresh fish, local crab and lobster can be bought all year round from the quayside. Local fishermen will also run fishing trips during the summer, if you fancy a go yourself. The stunning natural harbour was once used by smugglers - see it at night and and you can imagine the low splash of oars as goods were rowed ashore.
At low tide there are rocks and rock pools for the kids to explore, and the harbour is surrounded by cliffs - loads of opportunities for healthy walks with stunning views. Port Isaac is especially appealing if you prefer a holiday away from the rush of the city or the noise of a busy resort. It is a quiet place with all you need - small restaurants and good pubs frequented by locals and visitors. Local shops will provide all the basics - and more - and include a village store, a post office, and a fishmongers.
A short drive along narrow lanes will take you to the historic and mythical towns of Tintagel and Boscastle and to the many small coves and villages of North Cornwall. The huge and lovely beaches at Daymer Bay and Polzeath are perfect for both sun kissed summer days and windswept winter walks.
We fell in love with Port Isaac when we first visited and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
